    We'll mention the positive first: the hotel manager, Davido, is wonderful: professional, polite, knowledgeable, all things you'd expect from any hotel staff but especially the manager. He was a gem. Now for the negative: the front desk staff, particularly a singular woman who checked us both in and out, was the most dreadful experience we've ever had, in any country, at any star-rated property (even one-star hotels), hands-down. Unprofessional. discourteous, and unapologetically unskilled in her job. She was and continues to be a horror. Needs to be replaced - Davido, you know about whom we are speaking. Until we know this woman has been replaced, we would never ever recommend staying at this otherwise charming hotel simply because, with the experience we had, we couldn't recommend the hotel in good conscience and have other travelers go through what we went through.

Location. The Hotel Il Principe is located in the centre of Milazzo, on the island of Sicily, Italy. Messina is 38 kilometres away, and Taormina is at a 100- kilometre distance. Milazzo train station is four kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Overlooking the sea, the boutique Hotel Il Principe is housed in a renovated 17th- century palazzo boasting a façade finished with stucco moulding and wrought-iron balconies. Guests can sun themselves on the hotel's seasonal private beach, work out in the fitness room, and relax in the beauty centre with a sauna, massage, and range of treatments. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the port and the train station, and guests can book tours with the help of the concierge. Further amenities include garage parking (surcharge), and complimentary wireless Internet access.

Guests of the Hotel Il Principe can start the day with a complimentary buffet breakfast, and enjoy drinks in the bar.
