Il Lugano Suite Hotel

Great Location

We stayed at the II Lugano Sute Hotel for two nights. The hotel was great the room was very clean and comfortable. Parking was not a problem we used the meters and were able to park after 6:00 pm. The beach was about 16 blocks away so you had to drive but parking was not a problem. Buffet breakfast was great. We are planning on returning again in June. I would buy a beach umbrella and beach chairs the next time, since it cost $50 per day to rent two chairs and umbrella at Las Olas.

Fine Boutique Hotel

Beautiful hotel. Top notch service. Just ask and they are ready to assist in any way possible. The room was spotless, beds fantastic. The free beach shuttle was great eventhough the beach was only two blocks away. They will take you to neighboring hotels. Having a kitchen and laundry was really helpful. Very quiet neighborhood. Definitely take the water taxi. You get what you pay for.

"Awesome Hotel"

I surely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was the BEST! If you're looking to get away for a couple of days and spent them peacefully...this is the place.

Very nice modern hotel for the price

Hotel has a nice upscale but not "bougeoisie" feel to it. Staff were very professional. Rooms were much more than we expected, roomy, newer furniture, and very clean. Washer and dryer were a pleasant suprise. I would definately recommend.

Very Roomy

The room was spacious. It was almost the size of a one bedroom condo. Usually the kitchen area and the sitting area are very close and crampy, but not at this hotel. There was enough room for a family of four to easily get around without feeling cramped. Having a washer and dryer was great! We had gone to the pool early and was going to the beach later, so I was able to dry our swimsuits and towels or else we would of had to put back on wet swimsuits and that would have been uncomfortable. They also had a complimentary car service to/from the area beaches. This was great as well so we didn't have to pay and find parking at the beach. The only down side was we had to pay for overnight parking at the hotel, which I was unaware of until checkout.

Five Star Service

A recent stay at the Il Lugano far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is fabulous, the room was outstanding, and the price for the stay was exceptional. Check in was exact, quick, and quite personal. An outstanding star of the Il Lugano was the concierge Alana, who went out of her way to make reservations for me, and to provide me with directions to different locations. Stop in and see Alana on your stay, she is the STAR at this hotel. I cannot thank her enough for her assistance.

Luxury at Lugano!

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel for a 1-night stay in Ft. Lauderdale for a wedding. There are plenty of 2-star on beach options w/ scary reviews. For a little more, I found luxury at Lugano. I arrived early so my room wasn't ready and the staff was so good about keeping me updated and getting me a room as quickly as possible. My room was GORGEOUS! I've lived in smaller apts than my king room which had a full kitchen, dishwasher, balcony even washer/dryer. So new and clean. Cute pool w/ free BBQ, music and waitress svc for poolside drinks. Plus a surprise discovery: little canal-side cabanas if you want a little privacy to sunbathe waterside and watch boats drift by. Citrus punch in the funky lobby w/ fun music while I waited for a cab. Not right on A1A (which is a good thing) and a short walk to an ok beach or a short cab ride to a nicer one. Such a treat! I loved everything about Lugano!

Great stay

Overall the room was very clean. Nice and very cozy room. I would definately stay there again.

Very pleased with the service.

Hotel II Lugano was the perfect place to stay. Everything, such as Bayside in Miami, Key Biscaine were very accessible from the hotel. The room service was great. However I was a little disappointed the the boat driver was on vacation. I would of love to taken my family out for the day, perhaps next time. Thanks

Very nice except parking

Hotel was great, not real happy with the parking situation. $25 per day to park or feed the meters every 3 hours from 8am-6pm ($.50/hour)

If you expect to visit Ft. Lauderdale Beach- this hotel is NOT where you should stay!

The staff is rather rude/creative with the tales that they guests (rather excuses why they can't or won't do something). There is NO reliable Direct TV; you are NOT near Ft. Lauderdale Beach proper- you can walk for like 3 miles to get there! They offer a free shuttle at THEIR convenience. The room is not vacuumed daily; the room service- if you like to eat raw meat- then this is YOUR dream place! Food quality of their new restaurant "Da Campo"= unfortunate. They rate themselves comparable with the Ritz- yet that is laughable. Would never stay there again!
