Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 33Great Deal for the Price
Ideal Hotel is not in the center of Paris but that is an advantage. It is at the Port D'Orleans Metro stop (the entrance is right outside of the hotel) and it is at a busy intersection with buses and above ground railway stops. There is alot of street noise if you leave your window open but it is quite when closed. There is a wonderful, friendly creperie around the corner that opens early and closes around 10pm. A little walk down the road provides shops and other eateries and there is a grocery store a few blocks down. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only unusual things id the world's smallest elevator. it may take two trips to get the luggage upstairs. It is a great deal if you plan to spend your time out and about in the city and not sitting around in the hotel.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 33Great Location
The multi-lingual staff of this hotel is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are modern, the beds are comfortable and the rooms and small lobby are artistically decorated. This hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants, a grocery store, an RER stop and is next to a great bakery and metro stop. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is cost-conscious and does not mind taking the stairs rather than waiting for the small elevator.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 33Super Location
There was a lot I liked about the hotel, especially the location. Though it was a bit noisy, it is Paris, and the feel of the area gives you a good feeling. Having the Port d'Orleans Metro stop literally just outside the front door was more than convenient. The accomodations were very nice, small room, but beautifully kept.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 33Great Hotel
Even though the hotel is located outside the center of Paris, the entire city is easily accessible by Metro. In fact, there is a Metro station entrance right outside the front door of the hotel. The hotel room was large, clean, and comfortable. There are numerous restaurants in the area.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 335 star bathrooms in a 3 star hotel - GREAT!
I worked in the incentive travel business for 25 years and have stayed at many of the highest end hotels from Paris to Singapore to Hawaii. For me its about a CLEAN bathroom that "feels good". For the near budget price we paid the all ceramic tile, good shower pressure, well lite, spotless clean bathroom made me happy. Plus the 100% cotton bed linens and good pillows helped to. My compaints was the remote control did not work, even with new batteries, but I was not in Paris to watch TV. Plus there is no overhead light by the closet storage. The Front Desk staff was always friendly and spoke English. The Porte de Orleans Metro is literally right outside the front door and the little Patisserie next door is everything good all the other reviews said about it. Ideal Hotel was the prefect refuge after 12 hours of touring Paris.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 33Great Hotel
Ideal is a great hotel overall. I would recommend it even though its location is far from center. This however is a non-issue as the hotel is literally locatad on Metro station. Staff is super nice and each room has Internet access.

It was right off of a metro line, comfortable and the people were helpful. I'd stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 33Not Spectacular
The rooms are small but then again, so are most in Europe. There is one elevator and it only fits two people and maybe one child. If you have a lot of luggage you may have problems. They offer breakfast but it is expensive considering the nearby cafes. If you arrive early you will likely have to wait for hours to get your room. I had to put our baggage in an unsecured common storage room. The wi-fi the advertise is only available in the lobby or if you dangle slightly out of your room window. It is comfortable enough for a couple of nights but you may consider other hotels for an extended stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 33A great place to stay
The hotel is situated in a safe neighborhood and there is literally a metro stop right outside the front entrance. The front desk staff is polite and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. For those traveling in the summer, there is no air conditioning, but sleeping with the windows open keeps you nice and cool. My only complaint is that the drink prices are sky-high, so if you want a beer or coffee, find a local cafe. No one in his/her right mind should pay 7 euros for a Kronenberg! There are plenty of shops and cafes within a 3 minute walk, so this isn't much of a problem at all. Still, beware of the mark-up and avoid getting room service or breakfast at the hotel!

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 33Exceeded our expectations. Outstanding for the Price.
We loved this hotel because it was inexpensive, clean, comfortable and right on the Metro (you literally get off the Metro at D'Orleans and look up). Our room had a full shower (I expected a tub and handheld head based on one review) and we even had built-in and hanging space for our clothes. We were there in April, so if you go in summer it'll be hot with no A/C but we opened the windows at night and got a breeze. The surrounding area doesn't offer much, but an 8 minute ride on the Metro Line 4 (no changing trains) you're in Saint Michelle or Odeon, or even closer to Saint Germain. It is however more like 30 minutes and a change of train to Champs Elysee area. We would absolutely stay here again and I would recommend anyone - even my parents to stay here.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 33Nice Hotel for the Money
This was a nice hotel for the money, especially in Paris. It was right next to the metro, which made traveling around very easy, but it was a little further out than I would have liked. The rooms were very comfortable but the shower was small. It was also a little noisy since we were right next to a busy intersection, but that didn't matter too much since we were so tired at night we fell right asleep. They also had free internet and even a small computer for you to use, which was really nice. I would stay here again if I needed a similar hotel in Paris.
