    Ideal Hotel is not in the center of Paris but that is an advantage. It is at the Port D'Orleans Metro stop (the entrance is right outside of the hotel) and it is at a busy intersection with buses and above ground railway stops. There is alot of street noise if you leave your window open but it is quite when closed. There is a wonderful, friendly creperie around the corner that opens early and closes around 10pm. A little walk down the road provides shops and other eateries and there is a grocery store a few blocks down. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only unusual things id the world's smallest elevator. it may take two trips to get the luggage upstairs. It is a great deal if you plan to spend your time out and about in the city and not sitting around in the hotel.

    The multi-lingual staff of this hotel is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are modern, the beds are comfortable and the rooms and small lobby are artistically decorated. This hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants, a grocery store, an RER stop and is next to a great bakery and metro stop. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is cost-conscious and does not mind taking the stairs rather than waiting for the small elevator.

Location.The Ideal Hotel is a traditional townhouse property located in the city centre, opposite the Porte d'Orleans Metro and within three kilometres of Montparnasse. Paris Orly Airport is situated nine kilometres away, and takes approximately ten minutes to reach by car.

Hotel Features.Guests can surf the web via the hotel's complimentary wireless Internet access and ask the multilingual concierge for sightseeing tips and help booking tours and tickets. Further amenities include a dry cleaning service, a 24-hour front desk, nearby parking, and airport transfers (surcharge).

Guestrooms.The 68 guestrooms, over seven floors, feature simple, modern decor. Amenities include wireless Internet access, satellite television each with LCD screens, telephones, hair dryers, minibars and desks.

Expert Tip.The Jardin du Luxembourg, located three kilometres from the hotel, is Paris' largest park and features a children's playground, a restaurant and historic statues. Free musical performances are often given at the gazebo.
