Overall, the hotel was great. I prefer a room that isn't hidden in a sketchy corner, though.

The only complaint was housekeeping coming by very early the last day three times although we posted the privacy sign.

The only thing about this hotel that was a 100% positive was the view. Right on the Charles. I reserved a king size river view room, which we got but it was on the fourth floor which is the first floor with rooms on it..view was more of Memorial Drive than the River. Then there was the room itself..there were empty complimentary toothpaste boxes left in the bathroom, and opened and used bottle of lotion on the floor next to the bed and then there were the MANY hairs on the bed/sheets/pillowcases. It was OBVIOUS they did not change the sheets or pillowcases. I requested another room and was given a queen bed with a sorta side riverview with a balcony. The balcony was nice but we had to share the room with a large family of spiders. They comped us our breakfast at The Zephyr the next morning, but I still would not stay there again. Oh and the $35 parking fee is outrageous to say the least.

This hotel has a scenic location on the Charles but there is no public transportation anywhere close by. Then the hotel rips you off to park in their garage.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 502Parent visting B.U.
Great location, but harder to get back across the river to Boston University than I had anticipated. (I made the mistake of heading west to find a bridge, and ended up far south and west of B.U.) I was also stunned at how expensive it was to park a rental car in the Hyatt's garage for the night. But staff was friendly and helpful, especially when I had trouble with the parking garage gate. (Front desk had mentioned a "green" ticket to get out, but forgot to give it to me, and I stupidly didn't speak up and ask about it. I tried to exit ramp without a green ticket, and ran into trouble with the pay station there. Trips to and from the front desk ensued.) Decor of hotel is a bit left-over 70's, but overall the hotel seemed clean and my room was comfortable. And most rooms seem to have great views!

It was a great hotel and they gave us a great room right on the water over looking Boston's Skyline! It was wonderful!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 502Needs to Renovate
Location isn't exactly the most convenient, the t-stop is like a 10-15 min walk, which can be long if you are walking back late, or walking all over the place all day! The T does shut down at midnight. Although, the hotel offers shuttle service, it was odd the way they did. So, we requested shuttle service, and the doorman told us that there was group of 6 and 4 in front of us, so we would have to wait, which was acceptable, except that they were shuttling people from the t-stop and back in a Mini-Van!!! Plus point, cabs were available 24 hours. It's not bad for the price you paid. The hotel really needs to renovate itself, it can really be fabulous. There were stains on the bathroom floor, just that old feel. The view was awesome (charles river view. All in all, not too shabby..

Not what I expected Had to change room immediately after checking in there was a damp smell. The location was not near any public transportation and had to rely on an hourly shuttle, cabs were pricey into town or mall.Had a great gym and it was open 24 hours.
