Ideal choice

The Huntley is exactly what I was hoping for, clean, comfortable (not an over-the-top luxury hotel), great location, with an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant (food, service and view) is also fabulous. I'll definitely stay there again when in Santa Monica.

'will be back!'

My room was "heaven" I was provided with a truly comfortable, luxurious bed (best hotel pillows, by far!), quality toiletries, and prompt room service....to mention some of the ammenities. You still enjoy being in Santa Monica at their roof-top restaurant without leaving the hotel! Paradise in a nutshell. :)

very hip and comfortable for the $$

lobby is very chic/very accommodating staff. rooms are comfortable with one huge miss - no coffee maker (which seems to be requisite in all hotels now)and no coffee in the lobby until 7am. Fantastic rooftop restaurant and bar.

Good location, good view from room, beautiful view in restaurant

Had drinks in restaurant when we arrived - good idea to do then since they have a dress code for dinnertime; can't beat the view from restaurant/bar; nice hotel overall

Recommended place

I looked at several reviews on hotel.com before booking this place and was happy with my choice. It's a very elegant boutique hotel. I'd say it's ideal for a vacation visit rather than business visit. Comments about thin walls are accurate. But, I think when you book a night at a trendy hotel where locals come to eat and drink at the top floor restaurant ("The Penthouse") some of that comes with the territory. Service was good all the way around. The hotel accomodated my need to leave my car in valet for more than 24 hours but only charged me for a day. They kept my bags in storage for the following afternoon and let me keep getting them out of storage and putting them back in as I needed to get stuff out. I spent the afternoon at the Penthouse eating and working and again that need was accomodated. Experience wise, the place is everything the pictures showcase it to be. I'd stay again.

Outstanding Hotel

The room was very spacious and the pillows and bed were very comfortable. It was convenient for our corporate meetings that took place at the Fairmont.

Huntly, Santa Monica

Considering the star rating on this hotel we were dissapointed in their lack of HD on the OLD TV. They also advertise being close to the beach. From their location it is a bit of a hike to get to the stairs going down. Not worth the $$.
