Trip Type: Family Review 17 of 61Needs improvement
The price of the hotel was good, but the location was hard to get to with the construction going on, you only had one way in to get to hotel. The room was semi-clean and the beds are uncomfortable, the a.c. unit knobs where broken could not adjust the air conditioning and the hot tub was broken. The staff was nice though.

Trip Type: Business Review 20 of 61Mgmt is all about your $ and not your needs
I stayed a different location of this same chain the week prior and wanted to book again for another 3 night business stay the following week as the rate and location worked well for my needs. Unfortunately, not being familiar with the city and it's landmarks, I made an error when selecting hotel locations and booked a pre-paid stay for this property by accident (absolutely on the opposite side of town and required a major rush hour commute). I arrived at the location where I had intended to make my reservation and was made aware of my error when I tried to check in. I called Hotels.com and was told that I could switch the reservation but it would be up to this property to allow the correction... needless to say, they wouldn't. After the Hotels.com representative informed me of their unwillingness to help out in this situation, I myself called to speak with the front desk and to ask what the issue was. I was given a variety of run around excuses ranging from "the person who can authorize that is gone for the day and won't be back until the morning", (when pressed further) "she will be at a funeral tomorrow and won't be in at all". It then escalated to "that decision can't be made at the hotel it has to made by the management offices". When asked where the management offices were located, I was informed that they were the same location. You get the idea. This went on for an hour and a half and the excuses just got worse and worse until I was rudely told to book another room there and pay for two rooms. I explained how this was obviously not an acceptable solution to what I perceived to be a simple problem. I was later told flat out that they were absolutely not going to help accomodate me and they would be keeping my money. After a very frustrating back and forth, I finally conceeded and agreed to stay at the location that caused me a tremendous inconvenience due to it's location. The room itself I would describe as "acceptable". It had been given a quickie remodel

Trip Type: Special Event Review 21 of 61Great room for the money
The hotel was only 5 miles from the Alamodome. The staff was real nice and the kids loved the pool. The only problem I had was the floors were dirty. My baby had black on her knees and hands and feet from crawling on the floor.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 22 of 61Good Hotel
Overall it was a good hotel. The only thing that I didn't like was a sewer smell before going into the building to our rooms. It only stayed outside. Never came into the hallways or our rooms. Everything else was great. Especially the staff!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 24 of 61You get what you pay for!
The room was clean. The room was comfortable. The hotel needs renovations and not just a coat of paint! I was very surprised that there are no elevators and we had to carry all our luggage up all those stairs! The price was cheap! You get what you pay for!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 26 of 61Problems honoring reservations
Reserving the room for my parents, I unintentionally ordered two rooms for 3 days. My parents held the other room for my brother, who was driving from out of state. When he tried using the keys for the extra room, the room was occupied by someone else. This hotel has refused to refund any money for the one room. I paid 3 days worth of a room that my family wasn't able to use. Their excuse is that they held the room for a day so they're charging the full amount. This hotel is good for needing a room but making reservations is a gamble.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 27 of 61They should have paid me to stay here..it was that bad
We booked non smoking and it smelled of smoke in halls upon entering. Our room was rank w/ amonia smells to the point our eyes burned. There was mold on the shower and shower curtain, the toilet seat was to small for the toilet so it would move around as you sat on it. The coffee pot was still dirty from the previous guest. Entire room was dusty as though no one had stayed there in years and mattress had rips in them as well as there was paint on the sheets. Our rooms microwave was ancient..we paid for our sister-in-law to stay in the next room over and it was equally as disgusting. I would have not stayed on night here if if were not for that the city was sold out due to the Rock-n-Roll Marathon going on that brought in over 40,0000 extra people to San Antonio so everywhere was sold out. Stay away from this Hotel, the staff was equally as rude when presented with the issues we had, and when brought a new coffee pot, it still had grounds from the previous user, instead of just coffee in the coffee pot.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 28 of 61A pretty rough stay
The hotel looks like it is in need of major reconstruction. The outside has incomplete repairs and inside the ac/heating system is not in working condition. The lighting inside the rooms are dim and there is an odor of stale cigarette smoke in the hallways and room.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 29 of 61Great room for the money
The hotel was a good place to stay. It had a fridge and microwave and the actual hotel was kept nice and clean. The breakfast was just cold food, bagels with hot and cold drinks. I was satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The only downside was that I could tell that the maids missed a spot vacuuming in the corners. Other than that, everything else was fine. With the price I paid for the room, I would recommend it to others.

Trip Type: Romance Review 30 of 61Great price for a friendly stay
The prices were fair and the conditions of rooms were great. The service is what you would expect from a high priced hotel and room service always does a great job. I make this my usual stay when visiting San Antonio.
