Needs Improvement

There wasn't much customer service. The hotel clerk said a couple of words me when I checked-in and a couple-when I checked out. Not bad or good. Bed was comfly, but the room smelled of smoke. A so-so experience overall

Ok for the money

The attendant at the front office was a little rude when we first arrived and wanted to move to a non-smoking room because the hallway smelled like smoke. Also, the complimentary breakfast was ok, but could have been better. It only consisted of ceral, milk, juice, and pastries, no hot breakfast like waffles or grits.

Needs much improvement

When I first arrived in Fort Worth, I called the hotel to get directions to it. An answering machine came on each time, no one ever picked up. I eventually stopped at a department store and asked for direction. The young man there eas very helpful. Once at the hotel, I waited in the lobby for a few moments befoe anyone showed up at the desk to wait on me. I was given a smoking room even though my reservation was for a non-smoking room. I asked for a non-smoking room, they told me that they could not accommodate me. I asked if there was another hotel that they would recommend in that network who would accommodate me and that they would transfer what was already paid to them through your on-line service. Again, I was told no. The attitude of the young lady who waited on me was awful. I went to the room they assigned me and it just reeked with cigarette smoke. As soon as I opened the door, the smoke met me. Apparently as strong as it was, someone had just left there who had been smoking. I went to the desk to ask for an air freshner and was given an empty can, I then went to the store and purchased my own air freshner. The meeting that I went to Texas to attend was to take place at 7pm. I think I must have checked in around 3pm. At 5pm, I started to get ready for my meeting and found out that the shower did not work. I went to the desk and waited again for what seemed like an extremely long time before someone came. When I told the lady the problem I was having with the shower, she told me that she could not help me that everyone had gone home for the day. Then she said that she would allow me to use the shower in another room, then go back to my assigned room. At that point, I asked to see the manager. She then gave me another room. this room was not clean either. I could go on. However, I will never stay there again and if I know of anyone going to that area, I will make sure that they do not stay there either. Also, I have decided to write a letter to the Texas Stat

Excellent Value

The hotel room was very clean - the bed was very comfortable - surprisingly. The continental breakfast was standard. Danishes, cereal, mini-bagels, toast. The juice was very watered down and the milk wasn't cold - but overall I feel I got my money's worth for the night. It is a little inconvenient to go South from the Hotel if you miss the side street.

First off this hotel is now called the hamptin johnson not comfort inn. It is very unprofessional looking and needs improvements.

First Impression

My first impression was not good but I had a VERY stressful day leading up to my arrival. When I went to check in had my confirmation number and the male clerk told me I had wrong hotel that there was no reservation for me...Im not soft spoken was stressed and needless to say got irrate. A female then came ask me what was wrong told her I had a confirmation and I know funds were already taken out of my acct and he told me there was no reservation that i was at wrong hotel. She asked my name and said yes mam ur name is right here and SHE was very apologetic. He never said a word. Then he did my room key and it would not work for my room again the girl took care of everything. After that the stay was fine. My son LOVED being able to make texas shaped waffle for breakfast. I would still recommend staying here.

Great room for the money

It recently became a Howard Johnson. I read the reveiws of others that were pretty harsh. We stayed there for mulitple nights for the stock show and found that it was quite decent. The room was clean and the beds super comfortable which is rare and it was the quietest hotel that I have stayed in ever! I recommend it to others.

Old Facility - Needs work

The hotel staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful and make every effort to resolve problems. The property was a Comfort Inn and now has new owners. It needs a lot of work in many areas to make it like new again. The entire motel (all rooms) were without phone service during some or all of my stay. Needs ceiling work in bathroom, toilet next door ran for hours before I called to have some one come down and check. The staff keeps the property clean, breakfast, though not fancy, adequate and fresh. Understand new owners are supposed to be renovating the property soon. Property is convenient, staff help full and not a bad place to stay for day or two. Would not consider for long term.
