Went to Victorville on an emergancy trip to see my brother,(all is fine). Did not have much time to research accomitations as I usually do. Went on Hotels.com, book with them all the time- always freindly staff. anyway typed in victorville and limited options poped up there was no room in my first pick so went to Howard-Johnsons. Very freindly staff the hotel and grounds very clean. Several things were disapointing. 1) no climate control in the room- had wall heater either on or off had to get up duting night when it got too hot and turn it off then again when it got too cold to turn back on. 2) no knob in shower to switch water flow from bath to shower, had to pinch small metal rod to pull out, brock a nail- no tragity but it still hurts. 3) matterss not very comfortable took my kids with me they even complained- they never complain, they can sleep til noon. 4) lastly the pillows were to small, but this is my own personal preferance I am accustomed to my pillows at home. Over all I have stayed in worse places and spent more money. We only stayed one night as scheduled took care of our buissness and came home. I share responsability in that I should have done more research but had limited time. I went in the internet and booked the room literally as we were walking out the door to start our 300+ mile journey to Victorville.

poorly maintained, very noisy, residents live their on a month to month basis which created most of the noise problems. You feel very unsafe staying there.

Needs a lot of Improvement

This hotel did not stand up to the quality that I would have expected for a Howard Johnson Hotel. The wall paper was taped with packing tape and that was falling down. We had stayed for three nights and our bed was made once. And no clean towels were given to us the entire stay. I would not recommend this hotel if staying in Victorville.
