Howard Johnson - Chicago O'hare

NEED IMPROVEMENT

I WAS IN ROOM 330 THE WATER WOULD NOT GET HOT. PLUS THE KNOB THAT TURN THE WATER ON WAS BROKEN SO THEY MOVE US TO ROOM 335 THE STOPPER IN THE FACE BOWEL CAME OUT TOLD HOUSE KEEPING BUT NOTHING WAS DONE. BATH ROOM WAS NOT THE BEST TOWEL WAS RUFF FLOOR HAD SPOT AROUND THE TOILET. BUT THE HOUSE KEEPER WAS VERY NICE.

Good for the low price

Hotel is near to highway and very low priced. Breakfast was very limited as was the "workout room" but still a great bargain.

The hotel was convenient, clean, and a great deal. The room was large, quiet, and clean. What more can you ask for?

Decent Room and Inexpensive

Compared to the competition, this is a great value if you just need a decent place to sleep and a minimal breakfast in the Addison area. The hotel looks and smells fine overall, but some renovation is still in progress (for example, some trim was missing in the room). Apparently this hotel is fairly recently changed to a Howard Johnson - that is the reason there is no sign on the road. It is set back from the road and behind another building, which luckily was shorter so I was able to spot the hotel while driving by. Parking is adequate. The place was quiet, beds were fine, and the A/C worked well. The bathroom door didn't shut all the way and there were a few other minor things that could have used attention in the room. Breakfast is quite minimal, but fills the void. There is no swimming pool.

Outstanding Hotel w/ Exemplary Service

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were very curtious and knowledgeable of the area. The location was great, as it was pretty close to O'Hare airport. I also enjoyed the complementary breakfast in the morning. The room well exceeded my expectations based on the price. I would definetly recommend this hotel to someone who has a budgeting concern.

Greatly exceeded my expectations

Stayed at the Howard Johnson when visiting chicago. Front desk service was outstanding and even helped me figure out routes and dining options. Room was clean and comfortable and the free airport shuttle and breakfast were definitely nice perks for the very economical rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a great stay near o'hare.

great room

Guest service was great, they should give classes. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that were no where near as friendly and helpful. The front desk not only gave me direction and recommandtions for things to do while there, they made sure that I would not get lost and gave me the phone number just in case. Security was real good, as a women traveling with my daughter I felt safe the whole time I was there. When I checked and found a small issue with the room it was fixed in less than 5 min.(not kidding at all)with a follow up 5 min later. Thank you so much

pretty horrid.

I hesitate to say that this was a horrible hotel experience, but it certainly wasn't good. We found the service ok, and the room ok, but our room was never serviced during our stay and the common areas were filthy. Initially the best part was the price, but it seems that the rooms were cheap enough that there were quite a few unsavory characters using the hotel as their primary residence Having said this, the hotel was two miles from the Metra and a half hour train ride from downtown chicago which is where we spent all of our time. Overall though I found the experience uncomfortable enough that I would certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone.
