Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

Location. Rising 12 stories above the famed San Antonio Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas, the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is across the street from The Majestic Theatre and three blocks from the Spanish Governor's Palace. The hotel is within four blocks of the Alamo, El Mercado, the largest Mexican-style marketplace outside of Mexico, and Rivercenter Mall. Within one mile of the hotel are the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and La Villita Historic District, the original settlement of San Antonio.

Hotel Features. The Hotel Valencia Riverwalk's courtyard area features a Dodd Mitchell-designed fountain set among Valencia orange trees and Tuscan-style architecture. Spanish-influenced cuisine tempts taste buds at Citrus restaurant. The Vbar serves cocktails and tapas, while offering views of the Riverwalk from a stone terrace. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel. The hotel's third-floor health club provides Egyptian cotton towels, fresh fruit and purified water after a workout on the cardiovascular and strength-training equipment. Massages and facials are scheduled through the concierge desk.

Guestrooms. The Hotel Valencia Riverwalk's 213 guestrooms include custom seven-layer beds with Egyptian-cotton, 300-thread count Pogesi linens and faux mink throws. Select rooms offer furnished balconies with views of the Riverwalk or the city skyline. Rooms feature wooden credenzas, leather club chairs and bars. Amenities include 27-inch televisions with cable channels, VCRs and complimentary high-speed wired and wireless Internet access. Ivory Italian marble bathrooms include waffle-weave bathrobes, terry-cloth sheet towels, stainless steel sinks, weight scales and Valencia Citrus toiletries. Expert Tip. The hotel's Vbar hosts a fashion show on the first Thursday of every month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For a fee, guests receive one martini, admission to the fashion show and are entered to win door prizes. This event is not offered during the months of July and August.
