Great Getaway Hotel

Hotel Tadoussac is a great getaway spot. Though it shows some wear and tear,it's been open since 1864,it was very comfortable and the staff very welcoming.If you don't use the bellman's service some rooms are located down halls with short steep ramps which made navigating the luggage cart up or down the ramp a challenging experience. The hotel is located in a great spot,walking distance from town and the whale watching boats.The breakfast buffet wasn't worth the price,but there are several reasonably priced restaurants which serve great food in town. I recommend going to Restaurant Chantmartin and Cafe' Boheme.A bit more expensive but definately worth the price was Restaurant La Galouine. While staying at the hotel several bus tours stayed the night (they ranged from middle school students to retired folk),the common areas got a bit noisy but our room was nice and quiet. The highlight of our stay at the Hotel Tadoussac was seeing 3 minke whales from the hotels front lawn and porch. There's not many places where you can experience that!
