Hotel St Francis

Great Location.

Great location; next to the famed Santa Fe Plaza. Very convenient to downtown area shops, restaurants and museums. Easy walking of all of downtown area. No driving required. A plus here since parking is very limited. A historical hotel. The room we had was VERY VERY small. Barely enough room to turn around in. We could not pass each other around the bed. No place to store clothes or luggage adequately. Hotel room and lobby was very austere. Spanish colonial furniture doesn't work in a room as small as ours. It would have been better to provide a small desk with chair instead of a non-functional chest as a night table. No chair in room and the bed is too high to sit on. Buyer beware when booking a room here. Inquire about room size. Hotel could have provided a better room since they were no where close to full at this time of the year (late fall). Bar and restaurant were fine, not outstanding. I stayed here several years ago. It seemed more elegant and comfortable then.

Great place if you don't need any sleep.

The room faced the street where the garbage truck ran every morning at 4:15am and then delivery trucks started in with their ramps, dollies, clanging locks and banging doors. It was impossible to get a good nights sleep. Perhaps the opposite rooms were quieter. There also was no mirror in the room...there was a small one in the bathroom. We were told they might have one after the New Year!!!????

Great Place

This hotel was great! The location couldn't be better. The only think I could see as an issue for anyone was the rooms are on the small side, they are the size of an average to small size bedroom. This didn't bother me, it gave it a more homey feel I think, but it is something to consider. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel

Nice hotel, nice staff and in a convenient location, however the room renovation was incomplete. A few minor details were not done. Restaurant was average.

Great location and stylish, but

You can't get a better location, esp. with parking (for a fee). But - room was too small for 2 women, and bath is ensuite (sink in room and toilet/shower a step up) - not private enough. Too cramped for more than 1 night. Breakfast not included and hotel dining room only serves dinner, bar food.

Great Hotel

The newly refurbished St. Francis Hotel is a terrific place to stay. Close to everything in Santa Fe - in a location where you can walk to most of the major sites in the area. The staff was helpful - particularly the Concierge, who was delightful. It was a refreshing oasis with its comfortable spartan decor and welcome absence of commercialism. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Location, Beautiful Room

The hotel is located only 1 block from the plaza so it's a great location to shopping, restaurants, and sight-seeing. The standard queen size room is not very large, but it is very charming. The hotel is beautiful and I think a very good value for the price. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Experience

The hotel has recently been renovated and is in outstanding condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, only one block from the Plaza. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Plaza area.

Outstanding Hotel!

The service and was outstanding.! The staff went above and beyond to accomodate us and were so kind, caring and anticipated our needs. I've never been to a hotel that treated it's guests like a family member would. I call it a five star hotel.

Great Location, Posh Hotel

They really renovated the hotel and although I miss the old style, they did an excellent job improving the rooms. Love the location!

one of Santa Fe's best

The remodel of this hotel came out fabulous! This was a great hotel before, but now even better. Staff is friendly, the setting beautiful and location is one of the best for the money; just 1 1/2 blocks off of the main square. There is no doubt I will stay here on the next visit to Santa Fe.
