    Great location; next to the famed Santa Fe Plaza. Very convenient to downtown area shops, restaurants and museums. Easy walking of all of downtown area. No driving required. A plus here since parking is very limited. A historical hotel. The room we had was VERY VERY small. Barely enough room to turn around in. We could not pass each other around the bed. No place to store clothes or luggage adequately. Hotel room and lobby was very austere. Spanish colonial furniture doesn't work in a room as small as ours. It would have been better to provide a small desk with chair instead of a non-functional chest as a night table. No chair in room and the bed is too high to sit on. Buyer beware when booking a room here. Inquire about room size. Hotel could have provided a better room since they were no where close to full at this time of the year (late fall). Bar and restaurant were fine, not outstanding. I stayed here several years ago. It seemed more elegant and comfortable then.

Location. Located in downtown Santa Fe, N.M., the Hotel St Francis is one block from The Historic Plaza overlooking the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. One-half mile from hotel is the Palace of the Governors and the Georgia O'Keefe Museum.

Hotel Features. The Victorian-style hotel built in 1880 combines European ambience with Southwestern elements in its fine dining establishment, serving such menu items as Sake Marinated Sea Bass and Andouile Sausage with Duck Confit Salad. The Artist Pub features light fare amidst a copper topped bar and marble tables. Afternoon tea, sherry or champagne is served daily in the lobby and seasonally on the veranda.

Photocopy services and complimentary Internet access are provided in the 24-hour business center and flexible meeting rooms on the property can accommodate groups up to 65 guests. Weekday copies of the New York Times are complimentary in the lobby area. Conference and wedding facilities are also provided on the property. A fitness center is on the property overlooking the garden patio. The hotel also provides ski storage and shuttle service to the ski basin. Guided walking and shuttle tours depart from the lobby each day.

Guestrooms. The 82 guestrooms and suites at the Hotel St Francis include complimentary wireless Internet access and cable television with premium channels. Refrigerators are provided in all rooms.
