Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 15Great experience
The rooms are tiny to say the least. But WAAU what an experience to check-in and see how they have made the most of it. Fashinable and trendy. Experience it.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 15Amazing...just amazing.
I have stayed in hotels that aim to be affordable and hip (i.e. Pod Hotel NYC) and had low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable, quiet, clean and stylish. Location was good. This was one of my favorite stays on my New Zealand holiday. I would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 15Not what I expected
This hotel wasn't quite what I expected. The reviewer who commented that the rooms were small was correct. The shower and toilet in the family suite was glassed in in the middle of one of the rooms - not very private. We left at 7:00 AM and could not even get a bottle of water from the hotel, no less anything to eat. Breakfast was not served until 8:00 AM.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 15Great * unique* hotel
Very good service for the cost. Small rooms - very compact - great use of space, but all you need is a place to sleep. Love the upgrade to a King bed, a bit more room. Downstairs laundry nice and clean, no soap needed. Does take a while to dry. Free internet (in lobby) and wifi - very nice to have. They do have common areas on the floors and a small fitness center in basement. Loved our stay and the experience.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 15it's like a cabin on a boat
Absolutely unique accommodation---couldn't believe that so much facilities could be packed in such a small space. The colored fluorescent lighting minimized any claustrophobic feelings. Very reasonable price, but don't plan to do anything other than sleep here--there's little room to even turn around.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 15Totally cool
Rooms are a bit tight by US/Euro standards, but the technology in the room was totally fun! Would stay there again if I'm ever in the area!

The room was small and well appointed and efficiently laid out, our room did not have a window.

Room was small. The alarm clock did not work. If no frills and just an efficiency is required it would be fine. The restaurant was good and staff also.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 15Cool place
The heat didn;t always work right and the in-room refridgerators did not always cool, and the phone in one room worked intermittantly, but the internet and TV was great, the sauna was great, the staff was great, and the location and price were cool.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 12 of 15Excellent Hotel
I loved this Hotel. By far it was one of the best experiences in a Hotel I stayed in. The room was small but everything was arranged really well, and it was decorated nicely. The staff was very friendly, and it was situated in the city center, so you can walk to all the sites in a short amount of time. As a solo traveller, it was exactly would I would want in a Hotel.

They have the latest and greatest in technology, especially the alarm clock system. VERY COOL! The rooms are small, but everything else is top of the line.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 15 of 15Funky & cool, but VERY tiny rooms (by design)...
Loved this hotel -- it's right in the heart of Christchurch, near everything. It's hip and funky and cool, but not for everyone. The rooms are about the size of an average American closet (ours didn't have a window, either). But... for their size and price, they're perfectly constructed with lots of nice touches -- mood lighting, etc... It was clean and cozily comfortable. If you're taller, you might ask for one of the bigger rooms -- our bed was probably only good for 6 feet tall or shorter. Overall, a great place to stay if you don't mind non-traditional.
