Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 589Excellent location, a little hard to navigate to.
It was one of our best stays. An anniversary adventure sans kids. All staff were very helpful. Crimson lounge an obvious hook-up place and the "buy a bottle" policy was interesting.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 589Outstanding Hotel....great room...great location
Will definitely book at Hotel Sax for next years "Girls Trip". Very unique deco....Staff could have not been any nicer. Needed ex. towels and pillows....had them immediately. Little touches of wine and cheese....hot apple cider...hit the spot. Close to shopping and entertainment.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 589Upscale, hip, right down town.
Having a one night layover in Chicago for work I needed a cheap hotel and didn't care too much about other features. I turned to hotels.com for a cheap room, and got the Hotel Sax. The hotel was much nicer than I expected for the price. It was very hip, modern, and up scale without being fancy. The room was very nice and quite roomy, although we noticed from the fire exit map our good rate got us one of the smallest rooms on the floor! I can only imagine the other rooms are huge. Lots of eating choices near by, and right downtown. Hard to go wrong, particularly when you get a deal!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 589Not as Impressed this Time.
I've stayed at Hotel Sax before and was not as impressed this time around. Our beds were uncomfortable, and looked as if they were made in a hurry. The walls were thin, as the people staying in the room next to us had a infant who's screaming woke me up several times throughout the night. The people on the other side of our room were just as disturbing, loud and whatever they were doing caused the wall to shake. Room service was great, as well as the staff. As with the last stay, house keeping kept repeatedly knocking at our door trying to clean our room when we stated that we weren't ready to leave yet for the day and it wasn't a big deal to clean the room. So we put up the "do not disturb sign" and they called our room instead of knocking. For the price I paid for this room, I was not impressed. However, my last experience at Sax was totally different. I would like to again emphasize the kindness of the staff. They were extremely helpful and friendly.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 589Very pleasant stay
- Center of Chicago. Not far from restaurants/shopping area - Pricey, but high standing - Little less welcoming than similarly priced hotels - Nice room, well furnished - You can hear a little too much the roof AC compressors when you're on the top floor.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 7 of 589Sleek Hotel
Very sleek, sexy hotel. Loved the Xbox and loaded Zune in the room. The Gaming Lounge is awesome, and the Crimson Lounge is a cocktail lounge experience. Would definately go back.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 589If You Like Boutique This Is The Hotel For You
Room was small, cramped, dark and view was of the towering, circular hotel parking lot! Cool factor is in 6th floor game room and the fact that House of Blues is adjacent to hotel - very convenient.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 589just average
The hotel is in a great location. The people working there were super nice. the negatives were: pd for a deluxe double and ended up in a superior double- which costs less and was not offered a price reduction. When I was about to get into the bed I (luckily) noticed there were long female hairs on the sheets and blanket.I don't think the sheets on that bed had been changed. I must say housekeeping came to our room immediately and changed all the bedding. If you're looking for a great view- this isn't the place to stay-however- if you want to be in the heart of the action, walking distance to everything-The Sax is for you!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 589Great place to stay if you are going to a show at the H.O.B.
Right next to the House of Blues. Parking was pricey at $49. a night. I will definitely stay again.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 589I love staying at this hotel
I've stayed at the Sax many times, dating back to when it was the House of Blues Hotel. Most of the staff is the same, and they have gotten to know me by name. I've always found them to be very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make sure my stay is as comfortable as possible. The rooms are fairly big, and the beds some of the most comfortable I've slept on anywhere... The best part about it though is the location - convenient to everything inside The Loop! You can't go wrong with this hotel, trust me...

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 589Everything I Expected and More
I had never been to Chicago before, but if I were to go again, I'd definitely stay at Hotel Sax. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the concierge provided tons of useful advice and money-saving coupons, AND the hotel was walking distance from just about everything. The room itself was gorgeous and comfortable. The hallways WERE a little dark, but it adds to the charm, and the Microsoft Experience room on the 6th floor was tons of fun! The lounges and restaurants in and around the hotel could be a little pricey, but you expect that in a hotel lounge. Great food, and great drinks. Even if you don't like bowling, but you enjoy a good martini, you should check out 10Pin next door. And of course, the House of Blues was right across the street! Hotel Sax was absolutely perfect. Definitely worth what I paid!
