    As an American on his first trip to France, the hotel worked well for me. The hotel staff was friendly and spoke english. I was working long hours at the nearby business site, so the restaurant was very handy. The food was good and there was also a good wine selection. The hotel is located on a small hill with interesting views in several directions. The location was rather secluded and quiet. Parking on the hill was interesting, but preferred over trying to park on the street in some locations. The wireless internet had the best signal in the lobby/bar area, but had spotty service (frequent downtime).

    Hotel staff was extremely helpful and considerate - they worked with our limited French and helped us with anything we asked. The room was spacious and clean. Location was a little disappointing - we expected to be closer to the water and the beaches. It was also difficult to get there - we had to take an expensive cab for the 10 minute drive from the train station. If you have a car, this is an incredible hotel, but if not, it may be easier to stay in a larger city.

Location. Hotel Saint Roch is located in Martigues, France within 500 metres of Martiques Island and 10 kilometres from the rocky inlets of the La Cote Bleue, the blue coast. Lavera train station is five kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Set amid pine trees between the sea and the countryside, Hotel Saint Roch is built in a modern style with a 16th century mill on the terrace. This Provencal hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool with a solarium.

Le Moulin de Paradis at Hotel Saint Roch offers Provencal French and Mediterranean dishes with a panoramic view. Dishes include Fish Soup with Rouille and Gingerbread Ice Cream. Breakfast is served daily for a surcharge.
