Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 6More than what was expected
Pros: quiet location, friendly front desk, clean pool, liked the community kitchen area, close walk to more secluded beach area close to rivermouth, surfboard storage area Cons: slight walk to town, standard rooms are a bit cramped (but whose staying in the room anyway)

Pueblo Durado is extremely clean and has everything you need. Our room had two beds, a TV, an A/C, a bathroom and a closet... perfect for the small amount of time we actually were in the room. The pool and outdoor shower were great. And the kitchenette and fridge next to the pool area was just right for keeping your water/beer/ice/etc. cold/frozen. Pueblo Durado is very close to the only real supermarket in Tamarindo so it's easy to buy supplies ahead of time there. The breakfast that came with our package gave us 6 or so great options each morning at the bakery/restaurante across the street with an ocean view. You are literally 150 yds from the beach and probably less than a half mile from downtown. The attendants at the front desk were exceptionally helpful in giving recommendations or in booking outings or trips for us. I Loved it and would go back anytime!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 6OK Basic hotel
Basic hotel, clean, OK. Tamirindo has little to offer, so unless you have activities planned, it's just a room to sleep in.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 6Nice place, but watch out for hidden charges
The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast across the street was very good. Beach and town are a short walk away. However, the front desk was not very helpful and they unexpectedly charged an extra $20 per night for an extra person. Also charged $10 for a broken glass.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 6Great experinece
We both really liked this hotel. The people were very helpful, the internet was right there in the lobby for us to use and the beach was just down the street. The bed's were the best we stayed in while at Costa Rica, and the room was everything that we needed. It had nothing more and nothing less. The only window that opened, opened to the courtyard that all of the windows faced toward. That was the only downfall, due to it being where everyone passed, but really it wasn't a problem, just makes it a little less appropriate for the romantic getaway, but perfect for any other use. The pool was very nice, nothing super special, but very nice and clean and beautiful mural on the wall. We loved the beach, lots of activity and close to lots of tours in the area. We recommend renting a surfboard and learning how to surf and watching the different activities on the beach. Have fun!
