But do not let the concierge book the Louvre or Moulin Rouge for you. Louvre is easy to buy entry from machine when you arrive and if you go to Moulin Rouge see the show, skip the inferior quality food.

If you can afford to pay for this Hotel it is without a doubt the best place to stay. Extremely well located, it's exactly what you expect from a 5 star hotel and more. We traveled to Madrid for two days prior to returning to Paris for departure on the same day. We didn't want to take all of our luggage with us but we weren't going to have time to head into the city to pick up the luggage before heading home. The hotel stored our luggage for us and arranged for a car to take our luggage to the airport and wait for us there. The entire staff at the Prince de Gaulle, but particularly the concierges, are outstanding.

A restored Art Deco building, the Hotel Prince de Galles is located within three blocks of upscale boutiques on the Champs-Elysées and Avenue Montaigne. The 168 guestrooms are decorated with period furnishings, and have marble bathrooms with Art Deco flourishes. Amenities include air conditioning, satellite television, wireless Internet access and safes.

Restaurant Le Jardin des Cygnes serves fine Provence- inspired cuisine at lunch and dinner amid high ceilings, hand-painted frescoes, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the mosaic-tiled courtyard garden. The morning breakfast buffet is also served here, or outside on the patio in warmer weather. Guests can also have lunch and drinks while browsing complimentary newspapers on leather seating in the British-style Regency Bar. There is a fitness centre, beauty salon, and business centre with secretarial services on site, and guests can ask multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk for local information, while the concierge is able to assist with restaurant and opera bookings. Most of the city's luxury boutiques are located in the immediate neighbourhood, the 'Golden Triangle', which is bounded by Avenue George V, Avenue des Champs-Elysées, and the Avenue Montaigne. It is also a hot spot for trendy restaurants and chic new nightclubs. Famous Parisian attractions such as the Arc de Triomphe and River Seine are within three blocks, and Charles de Gaulle Airport is 25 kilometres from the hotel.
