Had the best time. This Hotel was close to many beautiful places so you don't have to travel far to have a good time. I was totally stay here again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 16Great location at a great price!
Overall I found Posada Santa Fe to be a pleasant Hotel in which to stay. I will have say up front that if you are a light sleeper this hotel might not be for you, as the street noise (if facing the street of course) will infiltrate into your room (the sliding glass doors do a decent job at cutting down the noise). I personally love being in the mix of things (I don't mind the mariachis playing at 2am outside my window) and this centrally located hotel was just what I was looking for. Room service was good and the front desk staff was always very helpful. The beds in the rooms are not the most comfortable beds but they are at par with other beds in similar hotels throughout Mexico. Lastly, I would skip eating at this particular hotel as there are much better restaurants in the same area. I would definitely consider this hotel as a top option for my next visit.

Everything was wonderful. The only negative was the noise. Our room was right avove a busy street. It may not be so bad in times other than Festival Cervantion.

Terrific staff and location. Very quiet room not on the plaza. Hard beds in the Jr Suite.

The best thing about the hotel was the location...the ambience was awesome, with the beautiful plaza and garden, the cool air wafting into the room through our open window, the mariachis playing outside. The bed was hard but sleepable. The desk clerks were very helpful with suggestions. All in all, we'd love to visit again in a year or two.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 16Disappointed
I had stayed at this hotel before and was satisfied, particularly because of it's location. This time, a friend and I stayed one night and we both were disappointed. Neither of our rooms had hot water so we ended up taking cold showers. There was no remote control for the TV in my room and her TV did not work at all. The pillows were like rocks. The food at the restaurant was good, but we were charged for items we did not order. The staff is very nice and courteous, though.

This hotel is right in the center of town with everything happening just steps away. It was about 150 years old with all the original art work and furniture, just beutifull.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 16Great location, but make sure you avoid the breakfast
Great location. Our room was a bit small while the bathroom was spacious. You have to avoid the breakfast whis very, very poor. Staff seems not to care. Front desk/bell guy do not seem to know what Guanajuato has to offer to tourists.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 16Quality and Character
The Hotel Posada Santa Fe in Guanajuato opened a colorful window on the past and present in this gem of a colonial town. Enjoy the ambiance of decor and art throughout the hotel, along with sitting in the front patio and watching the world go by accompanied by various local mariachi bands. And, don't forget to take in the lovely rooftop patio too!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 16Everything was great except the bed
The hotel is in the Jardin de la Union whis the best location. Service was very good. The bed was a disaster. My soft Yankee back needs box springs and a much softer matress. They offered to change rooms but the other beds were the same.

The rooms are small but the location of the hotel is perfect. You are in the center of all of the music, food, and excitement. I will stay here again

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 16not good for sleeping
While the service was good, because it was not air conditioned, the windows had to be open and the street noise went all night, (trucks and cars). The beds were as hard as a rock. We even had an upgraded room to a Jr. Suite. The hotel has character, and good service, but that doesn't make up for not being able to sleep good.
