    Right on the river at the foot of the castle. Roof top patio bar with a beautiful view. Good breakfast. Very close walking distance to the Old Town Square. When I stayed all drinks were free from 6 to 11, you can't beat that.

The Hotel Pod Wawelem is a contemporary hotel built in 2006 and situated in the centre of historic Krakow, 50 metres from the 16th century Wawel Royal Castle. The 48 air-conditioned guestrooms are located over six floors and have modern decor in neutral tones with light wood furnishings. All guestrooms include satellite television, Internet connections, desks with telephones, and bathrooms with showers and hair dryers. Hypo-allergenic bedding is available on request as are irons and ironing boards.

Guests can enjoy relax in the steam. The Restaurant Malecon serves a fusion of Polish and European cuisine in a light contemporary setting. Malecon Café offers coffees, teas and cakes on the fifth floor terrace, which has superb views across Krakow, and Malecon Pub serves a wide range of drinks from around the world. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk, which has a safe-deposit box, are happy to offer advice and information about conference room are available. Guests can visit the Wawel Royal Castle or Vistula River 50 metres away, or the Market Square one kilometre away. Krakow's main railway station is two kilometres from the hotel and Krakow Airport is 14 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
