Hotel Palomar Los Angeles - Westwood - a Kimpton Hotel

Great Experience

I researched many area hotel reviews, looking for comfort, cleanliness, and quiet, as well as good value and location.I found it all at the Palomar, and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone needing accomodations in this area.

Nice Hotel, Quiet Neighborhood, Easy Access

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Palomar in LA Westwood. The hotel is nothing fancy in terms of architecture, but simple, modern and clean. The rooms have a retro look inside and are very clean. Seems almost to be newly remodeled in the last year. The rooms are the basic "box" that you would get anywhere, but again the furniture, bedding and materials used in the rooms gives it a higher class retro feel. The location is pretty convenient from the 405 and to local areas such as Hollywood, Santa Monica and that area. The staff was very friendly. Greeted me at check-in with friendly discussion and genuine interest. Only two complaints: 1. The hotel parking is $30 a night valet only. There is some parking on surrounding streets that is free. I was lucky and able to find it both nights there, but you have to be really careful as some of it is for the residents of the area. I just wish they would have a self-park for $10 to $15. 2. Upon check-out, I was told I had a $5 mini-bar charge. I never used it. They quickly took it off - but like many hotels I have been too - these min-bars can often be easy to set-off and generally I don't like them. Overall, a great hotel, great location and very good staff. I highly recommend it!

Amazing Room

I really liked the colors and the appearance of the rooms. Very artsy and i enjoyed my stay there very much. Good job. Will be my choice next time too.

Unbelievable

This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time. The service, room and experience was great. This would make a great romantic getaway hotel.

Very Nice

Palomar is a very nice, clean and stylish place. it was a great location for the event we attended. i would recommend kimpton hotels.

Great hotel

We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. It was conveniently located to everything we wanted to see. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Outstanding hotel.

Everything was great. Including; Happy hour 4-6, with free wine; Free coffee 6:30-9:00 AM Very clean rooms, Very quiet rooms, Good house keeping, Great help getting air boarding passes, Great transportation help. Overall, very nice.

Great hotel in a nice neighborhood

We stayed for 4 nights in September 2009. The room was nice, comfortable bed, no noise and great spa recommendation from the concierge. I would recommend this hotel.

Great Location!

I was there for 3 nights and had a great time. The location to Beverly Hills and surrounding areas was excellent. Loved the free happy hour and coffee in the mornings. The valet hotel parking was a little expensive but street parking is impossible. Only complaint is that the room was never cleaned before 3:00/4:00 in the afternoon and even when we asked to have it cleaned early to prepare for a wedding, it wasn't.

Beautiful Experience

The hotel is perfectly situated. When we arrived we were greeted by a personable valet who took care of unloading our car and getting our baggage to our room. They provided us with a coffee maker, retrieved ice, brought extra towels and even ran back down to the car to get an item that we had not brought up with us. On our last night we went down to their lovely pool at 9:00, knowing that the pool closed at 10:00. We called the maintenance department and they came down to light the fireplace. At that time we asked if they could be a "little late" locking up tonight. He just smiled. We were able to stay at the pool until 11:45 and left with the feeling that they would have let us stay there as long as we wanted. Outstanding service and quality hotel! We will refer them to our friends and family.
