    Good location and very friendly staff. However, the hotel needs improvement. Bed sheets were placed directly on the mattress with no mattress cover which seems very unhygenic. To conserve energy, the lights in the corridors and stairwells went out after a few minutes and had to be switched on. It was not a pleasant experience to exit one's room into a dark corridor and grope for the light switch. They should replace the switches with motion detectors.

    This was a great basic room that was clean and felt safe. The staff was very nice and answered all of our questions. The hotel held a breakfast, which had a good selection of food. We didn't use a lot of the hotel amenities but it was a great place for us to spend our night.

The Oudaya is a modern, holiday hotel situated in Marrakech's 'new city' district of Gueliz, two kilometres from the bustling Jamaa El Fna Square. This five-floor property features 159 air-conditioned guestrooms in which warm, locally-influenced decor blends with simple Moroccan furnishings. All rooms include satellite television, phones, hair dryers and safes.

After a day's sightseeing, guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool or relax in the hotel's hammam or sauna. The poolside bar offers a selection of drinks and guests can savour an aperitif before enjoying an evening meal at the poolside restaurant. Guests can browse the artisan shops or try their hand at pool. The informal Yasmina restaurant has views of the pool and serves a selection of international and Moroccan cuisine. A la carte dishes include tagines and pasilla. The front desk is open 24 hours where multilingual staff can advise visitors on points of interest. Local attractions include the Jardins Majorelles and the Theatre Royal; both are two kilometres from the hotel. Menara Lake is three kilometres away and the Loukaimeden ski resort is 70 kilometres from the hotel. The airport is a 20 minute drive away, or seven kilometres.

Please note there is a compulsory gala dinner held at the hotel on New Year's Eve. The cost of entrance to this is included in the hotel rates for the 31st of December.
