    The staff was friendly and helpful all around, however our room was cold and being an older building the radiator for heat was controlled by the hotel - we were told that it was turned on from 8pm till 6am, but when we returned back to the room later that evening after a night out there was NO HEAT... did not make the next morning inviting to go into a cold bathroom to shower....

Location. Positioned in the center of Vina del Mar, Chile, one of the most famous resort cities in South America, the Hotel O'Higgins lies 500 meters from Quinta Vergara, the grand park livened by its well- groomed gardens, dense trees and steep hills. Guests are one kilometer from the Casino Viña del Mar, along with the Fonck Museum, which features a magnificent collection of maps from Chile's Polynesian history.

Vina del Mar is known as the "Garden City" for its flourishing vegetation, and the area is also noted for its immaculate beaches. Guests are three kilometers from the hydrated botanical gardens and eight kilometers from the tourist-packed summer hot spot, Renaca beach. The city is also regarded for its annual musical festival, which is held during the third week of February, marking the end of the summer season.

Hotel Features. Guests can dine on international and local cuisine at one of the hotel's two restaurants, Don Ambrosio and Las Pergolas. The traditional Harry's Bar, also on-site, is another place to relax with a cocktail.
