Incredible Location!

The rooms in the hotel are very basic, no-frills. There is an overhead light and one floor light. Hotel staff was incredibly professional, polite, and helpful! The hotel is one block from the cathedral and one block from the river. It is close to many restaurants and lots of shopping. Truly, the location could not have been better! Parking was less than a block away and reasonable. Rouen was a fantastically exciting and vibrant city and it was so nice to stay in a place that was close to the cultural attractions and the night-life.

Good room for the money

The hotel room was a nice experience, the staff pleasant, courteous and helpful. While the hotel doesn't have a elevator, fortunately, we were on the first floor. The room was large, clean, and comfortable for 3 adults. Also the room was quiet with 2 sets of windows which cut any outside noise. The halls are run down however and could benefit from renovation.

Great service at Hotel Notre Dame

The Hotel Notre Dame is a budget hotel with a great location and strong service oriented staff who helped us secure dinner and lunch reservations at the top restaurants. The bathroom was spotless, but the room lacked any kind of decor and the mattress a bit lumpy. We had a corner room with lots of sunshine, but a little noisy at night. The housekeeping staff did a great job and the continental breakfast, included in our price, was just what we wanted. The reception attendant even offered to steam the milk for our coffee.

Notre Dame Hotel in Rouen

The hotel room was very small for three persons. The T.V. was a small portable from 1950's. We had to climb stairs as there was no elevator. The lady at desk was helpful as she contacted hotel in Bayreux for us. The breakfast was largely continental but good.The Hotel was not near the train station and was about a mile from train station. I thought the advertisement indicated it was near train station. It was difficult walking through streets with luggage. It also turned out to be difficult to get taxi when we left hotel and didn't want to walk.
