Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 505beautiful hotel
The room was gorgious... Very clean and spacious..The only real complaint that i have is in regaurd to the bed...Not very comfortable, the sheets were scratchy, overly starched or something...I kinda wished for my bed. Something that i didnt expect for the price of the room.I was really hoping for a bed that you dont want to get out of, and i definatly didnt have that feeling

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 505Poor Service
Our room was not ready on time with my 20 month old having traveled for 9 hours, yet we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a higher floor. when we called the concierge, the phone rang at least 25 times and was on hold for over 4 minutes. there were no bath products in the shower upon checkout, I was not thanked or asked about my experience.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 505Great!
We stayed in an Imperial Room and it was lovely - great view, comfortable, included breakfast each day (american and japanese) and an afternoon wine/cheese reception. The staff was very accommodating and my son enjoyed the pool. Would definitely stay there again and recommend.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 505Wonderful time
My partner and I stayed here for my birthday this past weekend and had an Imperial Club Room on the 23rd floor. Our view was facing westward, which was ok since we live in the city, it was cool to see it from above. The room was nicely appointed, liked that it had a stereo system which is a rarity in hotel rooms. Bathroom was really cool with the built in TV to the mirror, modern decor. The Club Lounge was great. Evening reception with really great wine and beer, cheese, etc. The views from the Club Lounge were awesome. They even have a continental breakfast there in the AM. HINT: Ask the attendant to make you a Latte....super yum. And the best part, well at least for us...was the hotel was extremely LGBTQ friendly. From the treatment of their guests, to the shows they book in their lounge (Suzanne Westenhoefer, Gay Radio show...etc). We never felt uncomfortable. We will recommend the Hotel Nikko to visiting friends and family :)

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 505Parking Way Too Expensive
It costs over $50 to park overnight in the hotel. Typical for S.F., but still a rip-off.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 505average room and hotel for the $$$
nice clean hotel with good service however i was disappointed with the size of the room. it was tiny and with the california king size bed there was hardly any room to move. If i was out most of the time the size would not have been an issue but since i spent a lot of time in the room it felt a bit claustrophobic. I think the pictures displayed on the hotel and hotels.com website were misleading. If we did not get the savings through hotels.com i would definitely have considered this hotel a rip off. Nothing that exciting to write home about I'm afraid.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 505Will nickel & dime you to death
Hotel is very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is also descent. We had to stay at the Hotel Nikko only because the other hotel we were staying at two nights prior was booked. The hotel charges you for everything! Internet in the room will run you $14.95 for every 24 hour period. To use the pool, sauna or fitness center they charge you an additional $10.00 per person, per day. Mini bar and in room water is very expensive. We just walked to Walgreens a block or two away from the hotel and bought water and snacks for a fraction of the cost. If money is no option then this is the place for you!

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 505Great weekend
This hotel has excellent staff, willing to serve or help in any way. The room was nicely sized (I read some of the reviews ahead of time, but ours was lovely). The bath was elegant and well designed. We ate Sunday brunch (fairly ordinary, not worth the price). All in all, a very good weekend. The hotel needs a bit of a brush up in the hallways. The halls end up looking dirty because of the carpeting. The location was perfect for our plans.
