Nice hotel for the price

I was in New Orleans for a TaeKwonDo tournament being held at the convention center. The convention center being just across the street from the hotel was a great convenience. When I checked in, the attendant was extremely polite, and the fact that the parking was offered by not mandatory was a pleasant surprise, allowing me to use a parking garage next door and saving some money that way. The room itself was very nice, clean, and had a nice view. I ate at the restaurant in the morning. The servers were friendly and the food was good. The checkout process was very quick, and again the attendant at the time was very helpful and offered a taxi if I didn't have transportation. All in all, a great experience. I will definitely stay there again the next time we have a tournament in New Orleans.

Perfect Location

We were there for the Jewelry show at the convention center. It was nice staying right across the street.

The hotel was a great place to stay during the convention! Parking was priced similar to other downtown hotels. We walked to the convention.

Awful Experience

Do NOT even waste your money. First of all there's no parking reserved for hotel guests. Some might consider that quite inconvenient especially since the hotel does not bother to mention that fact to guests until they arrive. Second of all, the room was filthy when I arrived. The door was held open by an old towel that looked as if it had been used by the previous visitors, rap music was blaring on the clock radio, and the stained pillows were piled in the middle of the bed without pillow cases. Finally, and I feel this is the most important of all, the staff was beyond rude. I actually had a "customer service" rep raise his voice to me. That was nice. Needless to say, you should avoid this hotel at all costs. The prices our OUTRAGEOUS for what you get...or don't get.

Needs Improvement

I had the feeling that the hotel has seen better days. Mattresses were hard, pillows were weak and it just was not a very good experience. But, it was a clean room with a bed.

Not for the business traveller

I spent two nights at the hotel during a convention. For the price, I was hoping for a place where I can work comfortably during the day. I couldn't. No wireless internet access in the room. Cable for the wired access was "not available at the moment". There was spotty wireless coverage in the lobby, right next to the loud bar. The "business center" consisted of two pay-by-the-minute PCs (only one working). I know most people don't go the New Orleans to spend time in their hotels -- but if you have to, find another one.
