Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 136Amazing Bang for the Buck!
Very friendly/extremely helpful staff. There was initial confusion with my reservation being lost, but they took immediate initiative to resolve the problem. The location is perfect. Most of the cultural attractions that I wanted to see were literally a stroll down the street. And the view from my room was incredible... I loved being able to snuggle up in the window seat. :)

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 136Great Hotel
A little pricey but otherwise a great hotel. Given the price of the hotel, I was a little put off by the fact that there were additional charges for music service.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 136Chicago Monoco not same service as other Monoco's
Very disappointed in our stay in Chicago Monoco. We have stayed many times elsewhere, primarily in washington DC and are accustomed to great customer service, beverages like water or soda at the wine bar, coffee and papers in the morning, help with bags. Not only did the Chicago monoco do none of these things, the staff was not helpful, either. Requests were not honored and the staff did not seem happy to be there. YOu got the feeling you were "bothering" people if you asked a question. No bellman, the doorman did not open the door or help with bags. Even though we were traveling with a child, I had to request a fish when they did not bring it. Really baffling.. as we love the Monoco in Washington.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 136Outstanding Hotel
My husband and I made a last minute decision to go to Chicago for the Labor Day weekend and was lucky enough to find this great hotel. Everything was wonderful from check-in to check-out. The rooms are beautifully decorated, as well as the bathroom. On Saturday night, I called to schedule an in-room massage for the next morning and it was taken care of immediately. The massage therapist was one of the best I've ever had and I get a massage every other week. The price was also reasonable. From now on when I visit Chicago, I plan to stay at this hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 136A wonderful value and a great location
We really enjoyed this hotel. It was within a short walk to Michigan Avenue and Millenium Park, and the staff kept a very clean and neat hotel. Our room was wonderful....small but more than adequate. We really liked the newspapers and free coffee at breakfast and the wine party at night. I highly recommend this hotel to others.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 136Great room and location....but
We've been to this hotel before and loved it. However, I have to say that the mattresses are a little too soft. My husband and I both had back pain each day we woke up. We went from Chicago to Indiana, and stayed at a Hampton Inn. Neither one of us had any back pain. Other than that it was a great hotel.
