Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 12small
they had 5 adults crammed into a teeny tiny room that barely had room to walk, let alone store luggage

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 12Good location
Location was my main consideration. We were in an adult area but it was not too loudly so. The area was quiet and near to a Metro stop, Pigalle. Though check in time was 3PM and check out was 11 am. The Hotel allowed us to secure our baggage in a locked room before our check in and well after our check out.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 12Glad we picked it!
The desk staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were pleased with the continental breakfast. Although it's in a busy neighborhood, we were able to get a good night's sleep by simply closing the windows. The location of this hotel is its best asset. It's just a short walk to the Metro, restaurants, food markets, and a shady plaza.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 12Great hotel...bad area for small children
The hotel room was very large, loved that especially coming from London where the hotel room were really small, a little pricy but convenient, we didn't have to catch a taxi, just walked from the train station. The metro and the bus station is about a block or so away, several restaurants close by...But the only draw back was that I did not feel safe walking at night to the room. There are a lot of XXX shops a peep shows near by...Also the walls are thin...We had a terible time gowing to sleep at night, could hear the people next door coming and going all night...and the people above us, we could hear them all night as well, and you were kept awake by the sounds of motorcycles going up and down the street all night. ONe of the night attendants was rather rude with us.. We are from Texas and were trying to use international phone cards...The man was very rude when we asked for help with reading the cards being as they were in French, he was rude said to go use the phone outside...It was cheaper....My response..."I want to call from my room, that is why I have a phone in my room, I don't care how much it cost to use the thing." Also if your room is on the 5th floor, you have to take the lift up to the 4th floor and walk up to the 5th. Also when the people next door would use the hairdryer, the electricity to the floor would shut off and you would have to get someone to retrip the circuit...And if you are wondering, 3 nights for the phone ended up costing 27 euros!!!! also, if you are from America....Be warned, they have no washcloths....

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 12Interesting location, good price and non-smoking
We booked the hotel for location, price and for a non-smoking room. They were very accomodating, letting us store bags after check out and letting us check in early. The whole hotel is non-smoking. Use the Anvers metro stop to avoid the local color around the Pigalle stop.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 12Know what you're getting into
The service and the location are good, which are the only good things I can say about the Migny. The room is about 12x10, with a doorway you can barely fit into and paint peeling from the walls. There is no shampoo or soap provided, which would be fine for a 2-star or if I had anticipated it. The room had not been cleaned out the night I checked in, and they were very reluctant to fix this. Given the hotel's proximity to the red-light district, I felt it necessary to insist. The hotel is good if you're not a princess and none of this bothers you. What bothered me is the price in combination with the 3-star rating. Given those two elements I expected a slightly larger, and MUCH cleaner room.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 12Needs improvement.
I have stayed in several different hotels in Paris and although it was a 3 star hotel I think it just barely made that rating. My experience with European hotels is that you need a 3 star or higher to meet American expectations. Could have improved on service. There was only one person during peak check in and out time and they had a hard time keeping track of what was going on. We had to wait a half hour with small children to put our luggage away the day we left. When confronted with how much longer it would be they had totally forgotten why we were waiting there.
