    The bed was completely uncomfortable. There was no mattress top and the matress itself was not pillow top. The mattress was a plain, no frills matress that was not up to par for a 3-star hotel. The sheets and duvet were yellowish colored. They were once white, but probably became dingy over time. The fitted sheet had holes in it. What makes this all more comical was that we were put in the executive sweet. We were also made to sign a liability form prior to getting our room key. It basically said that the hotel could charge us for incidentals or damage to the room. I have never signed any such form in my frequent stays in hotels in Canada and the US. Fortunately, the room was clean, but the stay was not very comfortable. If you are looking for the typical feel of a 3-star hotel, do not book here. If you are looking for a clean motel in the vicinity of nightlife, this is your place!

Location. The Maritime Plaza Hotel Montreal (Canada) is located one block from Concordia University and three blocks from Crescent Street's shops and entertainment venues. Place des Arts, Palais des congrès, a convention center, and Parc Mont Royal are positioned within three kilometers of this hotel.

Hotel Features. Le Beau Rivage is connected to the Maritime Plaza Hotel Montreal's lobby, where American and Continental breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served in a casual setting. Billiards, comfortable upholstered armchairs and a giant television, usually tuned to Canadian hockey games, attract guests and locals to Le Barre, the hotel's popular lounge. Business services are available at the front desk and wireless Internet access is available in many public areas. This hotel houses seven meeting and conference rooms, the largest of which is located on the mezzanine level and accommodates 200 people. Also located on this level, a fitness center, and a heated indoor saltwater pool with seasonal sundeck.

Guestrooms. This Montreal hotel has 214 guestrooms located on 14 floors. All rooms feature traditional decor with mahogany furnishings, subtle use of wallpaper and chenille bedspreads. Rooms include laptop-sized safes, and cable televisions with premium channels. Bathrooms have telephones and designer toiletries. Wireless Internet access is complimentary.

Expert Tip. The Canadian Centre for Architecture, three blocks away, is housed in one of the city's most beautiful mansions that has a lovely sculpture garden. Admission is complimentary on Thursday evenings.
