Hotel Lyon Métropole & Spa

Location. The Hotel & Spa Lyon Metropole in Lyon, France, is located directly on the banks of the Saone River. Within five kilometres of the hotel are Place Bellecour, the Rhône and Saône peninsula, Parc de la Tête d'Or, and a variety of museums and historical buildings. Outside of Lyon, small, timeless villages dot the area with medieval hilltop retreats and tranquil valley communities. Roman ruins are found along the Rhône and remains of prehistoric man in the Alps, which themselves provide some of the world's best skiing and hiking, not to mention Western Europe's highest mountain, Mont Blanc.

Hotel Features. At Brasserie Lyon Plage, where specialties include grilled fish and meats, meals are served in the air-conditioned dining room or on the terrace by the pool. Le Victoria serves cold platters and sandwiches to accompany a wide range of beers, whiskeys and other cocktails. Continental breakfasts are served in the breakfast room or can be delivered to guestrooms. Nine meetings rooms comprising 1000 square metres of space can be configured to accommodate up to 250 people. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The Hotel & Spa Lyon Metropole is famous for housing the largest urban spa in France. Complimentary access is granted to spa facilities, which include an indoor pool, Olympic-sized outdoor pool, sauna, steam room and sa treatments.Guests have complimentary access to the spa, Lyon Plage, during their stay. This is availble from 3pm on arriva l day until Noon on day of departure (or 2pm for guests in the Junior Suites).

Guestrooms. Air-conditioned guestrooms at the Hotel & Spa Lyon Metropole feature views of the pool or river from terraces. Amenities include cable television, direct-dial telephones, safes and minibars. Guestrooms also have private bathrooms.
