A French Hotel in Costa Rica, non!

When I was directed by my company to use the Le Bergerac, I was told it was close by. I liked that idea and the pictures looked nice... so I chose this hotel. Well after staying there for a week I wish I had not used location as my only guide! The staff was helpfull, the English they did speak was adiquite, the breakfast lame and not filling at all. The only highlight was the hot chocklate, that was good. They have an expensive french restaurant for dinner, which I did not use becuase of the priceing, so maybe it was good. But the breakfast was so lame, they could not even scramble an egg properly! The hotel is built from an old house, I am sure it was a nice house, but it was not a good hotel. The bathroom was nice, because it was newer. Room was stuffy and because there was no A/C, only a week celing fan, I had two choices to cool off, open a patio door/window that would also let all of the native bugs in as well as the cool air or just suffer. I never thought I would miss the consistent comfort of a generic hotel until I stayed in this place! And for the price that I paid, it was not a good value! So if you want to consider staying there, just say "non"!
