    Hotel Kazimierz II is located on a main street on the edge of the old Jewish community of Kazimierz. A two minute walk gets you to the Old Town area and about a fifteen minute walk leads to the center of town. The desk staff is truly an asset - helpful and friendly. Ask for a quiet room on the side or in the back since the noisy trams pass in front of the hotel. The breakfast is very nice, with a good variety of treats. Remember to ask for your scrampled eggs! The negative about the room is the strange bedding (comforter?) and rough towels in the bathroom. We arrived by train from Warsaw and hopped a tram (#13 or #34 will work) which was only three stops to the hotel. The Polish people were among the friendliest we have met. You can eat right in Kazimierz. Our favorite was the restaurant U Dorothea (sp?) where a meal of meat, potato, and vegetable, with beer cost about $10. The double deck (on and off) bus was a real value for a two day pass and provided interesting commentary and museum admission. Don't miss the Salt Mine and the amazing underground city there. Overall, Hotel Kazimierz II is an excellent hotel for value, friendly staff and location!

The Hotel Kazimierz II is housed in a traditional three-storey townhouse located in Krakow's Jewish district, one kilometre from the main market square and 1.5 kilometres from Wawel Castle. The hotel's 23 guestrooms feature simple decor with wood furnishings, dark carpeting and matching curtain fabrics, and offer views of the street or the back yard. All rooms include satellite television, complimentary Internet connections, slippers, multi-line phones and complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms include showers, makeup mirrors and designer toiletries.

After breakfast, guests can check their e-mails or surf the web via complimentary public Internet access. Staff at the reception desk can provide room service, assist with transport arrangements and store valuables in the safe-deposit box. Tours of the Kazimierz district and the surrounding areas can be arranged on request. A public car park is located 150 metres from the hotel (surcharge). The Kazimierz area dates back to the 14th century and offers many synagogues, museums and other centres of Jewish life, as well as traditional restaurants. Krakow's large, central market square is one kilometre away, and Wawel Castle is 1.5 kilometres from the hotel. The Auschwitz- Birkenau Memorial and Museum, is 60 kilometres from the hotel. Krakow Airport is 15 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
