Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 29Great Hotel
Beautiful hotel with the most friendly, helpful staff! My only complaint was the bed, it could, considering the hotel rate, have a a more comfy bed, ie. down comforter or feather bed.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 29Excellent Hotel
A small historic hotel with big, well appointed rooms. Service was excellent. The only complaint is that there didn't seem to be much justification for the daily resort fee on top of the already expensive rates.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 29Overhyped, but may be different in peak season
I stayed with my mom off-peak and was underwhelmed. All of the big travel sites listed Hotel Jerome as a must-go-to hotel with a grand heritage. But the hotel seemed kind of old and musty, and it is far from the mountain and ski lift. On the positive side, the service was excellent and the room was quite large. The hotel bar definitely seemed like a hot spot. But other than that I was pretty disappointed and felt it wasn't worth my money, especially when I went to the other hotels that are at the base of the mountains. However, it seems like it might be the trendy "in place" to go in peak season because there is tons of seating in the corridors and public areas. So it might the kind of place that attracts the right kind of vibe in high season, but when empty just seems boring and unremarkable. If I were to go again, I woudl stay at the more modern hotels with more interesting lobbies and better views.

Great hotel in a great town. I visited during off season but the hotel was busy. its hard to beat the Jerome. You can walk anywhere and everywhere. Huge rooms and great service. The J bar is the place to be!

Like one of the prior reviewers, we were upgraded to a larger jr. suite. Gorgeous room, bathrooms, and excellent location in downtown Aspen. Friendly but unpretentious staff makes it feel more comfortable than other hotels in this class.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 29Not as good as a few years ago
Since the Jerome was sold, it seems like the service has gone downhill. I could tell people were trying, but they just couldn't get it together. The bellmen were not on top of things, and I mostly had to open the door for myself and a stroller, when a bellman was just nearby, but unoccupied. The front desk staff seemed like they were still in training. Also, they added a $30 a DAY charge for use of "hotel amenities" such as the business center and gym, even though we never used them. Outrageous!! We disputed this and they only charged one day. However, they did upgrade us and send a bottle of champagne - it was our 5th anniversary, and we have stayed there every year. However, we decided we probably won't stay there again. We had similar issues last year after the hotel was sold, but figured they'd be resolved by now. Unfortunately, we were wrong. I would recommend the St Regis for a similarly priced hotel with outstanding service.

The quality and service of this hotel were impeccable. Any problems were quickly remedied. The food at the hotel was excellent. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely go there again.
