    (We took a hydrofoil from Napoli to Capri)The hotel was great for relaxing. Beautiful surroundings and views. The room left us wanting more. The shower was creepy; the shower curtain would cling to your body as you showered, mostly because it was a small space. Breakfast was continental by US standards. You also need to leave your key if you go out for the day. Getting to the hotel was not as complicated as we expected. We spotted a shuttle in Capri so we avoided having to take the bus and taxi to AnaCapri. Just beware they charge you at checkout for this service in case you plan on giving a heafty tip to the driver. Reasonably priced, about 7 euros. If you wander to the lighthouse bring mosquito repellent or you'll be insect food and end up spotted and itchy for days to come. There are a couple restaurants and beautiful, scenic shots of rocks in the water by the lighthouse and the sunset is not to be missed.

    If you are sick of tourists and want to get away then this is the hotel for you! It's a great little hotel with a spectacular view of the water. You can't beat it for the price. It was the cheapest on hotels.com but what a bargain. It has a great pool, it very quite and has a breathtaking view! When you get to marina in Capri, take the bus to Anacapri and then take a taxi to the hotel. It's a little walk up hill with your luggage. Afterwards there is a bus for 1 euro that will take you all over town. Everything is in walking distance.

Il Girasole is a quiet hotel surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, with views to the blue Mediterranean sea. It is only 300 meters from the bus station, 500 meters from Anacapri center and two kilometers to the beach. The 23 rooms are simply decorated and well equipped with one double or two twin beds, air conditioning, TV, direct- dial phones, minibars and in-room safes.

Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, breakfast is served daily, and lunch is available, prepared by the owners with local and home-grown produce. Guests can enjoy lovely sea views from the swimming pool and poolside snack bar, and take advantage of babysitting, massage and hairdressing services, or surf the Internet in the hotel reception. Scuba courses, boat reservations and island tours can also be arranged. From the hotel guests can easily access the island on foot and Anacapri center is just a five minute walk down a pine and juniper scented country road. For unforgettable panoramic views, visitors can take a chairlift up Monte Solano and look out over the island to the gulf of Naples and beyond to the Calabre mountains. The nearest airport is Naples.
