Trip Type: With Friends Review 16 of 212needs improvement
i was not happy with this hotel because when i got there and checked in we went to room and i got in the bed and layed down then i got up and read everthing in the room and looked around the room didnt look like a 4 star room the bathroom was very nice thats the only thing that looked good in that room. so after that we left for the night and when got back i notice that someone from the hotel went into the room when we gone and they put a candy on the bed and left a note saying that the water would be off for 2 hours in the morning right before checkout . so i took a bath that night so for that very nice bathroom while the bathtub had a leek and water went everywhere so that was something that i had to clean and i put a towel around the area that was leeking so i could finsh my bath.

Trip Type: Romance Review 18 of 212Pricey But Nice Hotel
Just note that the hotel does have valet parking only and they charge you quite a bit to valet park each night. The location was not as convenient as I thought it would be to a lot of the local attractions. The bed was not extremely comfortable, and overall, the room wasn't anything fancy as far as decor and bedding. The bathroom did have a really nice shower and jetted tub. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was no excess noise heard from other rooms or the hall; it was nice and peaceful. The hotel does have a nice, but pricey restuarant on location as well as a bar lounge. It also has a nice, but somewhat pricey day spa that provides the works. The gym is extremely nice if you like to workout. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a downtown nightclub scene and doesn't mind spending quite a bit extra beyond the cost of the room.

Trip Type: Romance Review 19 of 212Awesome setup
The hotel was nice, the valet parking was a definitely pricey and the free drink to each of us was definitely a plus, but our favorite part was the setup of the room. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub and had an window-like opening from the bathroom into the bedroom. Very nice.

Trip Type: Romance Review 21 of 212nice stay
I stayed one night at this hotel on Saturday to a Sunday. The downtown nightlife, the Voice in the main lobby, and the overall hotel staff were all nice. There was a delay with checking in because my reservation was some how lost but the hotel offered complimentry drinks at the bar which I felt were accomadating being we had to wait only 20 mins or so til they found it. Loved the attention to detail and the lavish feel the room and bathrrom had. The bed was extra plush and my only complaint was that room service wasn't 24 hrs a day! Frank's Pizza located in downtown Houston, delivered instead!!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 22 of 212relaxing and beautiful
i had a wonderful two nights. i had a room with a tub which was huge and relaxing. the rooms are very lovely and comfortable. the entire hotel is beautifully detailed. i was just sorry to see that the new owners ruined the lobby. the original design was world class.. the new lobby is cluttered and confused (even tho the materials and furnishings are extremely nice and pretty). also the whiskey bar has been closed. at least they didnt tear it out. its still there if you ask to go look at it. the only problem with the hotel is the location. its OK. theres just nothing very great about the location. it IS easy to get to some fun downtown neighboorhoods.. but dont plan on walking anywhere for dinner. The theaters are nearby and so are the museums etc.. so thats good! i would stay there again in a heartbeat. excellent place to stay. just wish the lobby was more inviting as a hang out.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 23 of 212Horrible!!
No wonder this hotel is always "on sale"...do not be fooled! Nothing good to say about this place. The people are rude and I cannot believe it's still considered a 4 star...it's not even close! There are so many other hotels in this area, steer clear of this one!

Hotel Icon is in a great location for downtown Houston- close to bars, restaurants and business. The hotel is in very good shape and decorated nicely. I stayed in a deluxe room that was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had a lovely tub for a hot bath. It was all very clean and well loved. Voice, the hotel restaurant, was great and very handy for entertaining friends. The staff were wonderful as well. I left my sunglasses at the table and they saved them for me. This hotel is pet friendly which is a MUST for me.

Trip Type: Romance Review 26 of 212A suprise fee !!! Great hotel though !
The stay at the hotel was wonderful, but we were greeted with a fee 0f 27.00 dollars per night to park in valet, and that was the only parking they had. Either you feed the meter until six or park valet for a pricey amount !!! Still a wonderful hotel !

Trip Type: Romance Review 27 of 212Neat, Fun Place
I loved this place! It was really cute and different than any other hotel I've stayed in. The architecture and decor were gorgeous, and I loved the cute little cowboy rubber duckie! I did not like the bathroom situation; that is, there was no fan and the doors were wooden so I didn't feel like I had much privacy. The jacuzzi bath made up for it, though. I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating, with the exception of the bartender. Overall, though, I enjoyed my experience.

Trip Type: Romance Review 29 of 212Beautiful Hotel
Room and Bathroom were Gorgeous. Valet parking is $27, no ice machines, you have to call room service. Our hot water was not working and the coffee pot didn't work. Hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was comfortable.
