    This hotel is great. The pictures don't do justice to the hotel. There is plenty of shop, restaurants and a supermarket within the back door of the hotel. There are plenty of store around and movies within 1km from the Hotel. It is not near the ski areas. But there are buses that cost about 1.50 Euro that will take you there. The business Center is free for use. Don't even need to take your laptop. Skip breakfast is about 14 Euros. You can go to the supermarket and buy anything that you want for a fraction of it.

Location. Hotel Fenix is a modern property located in the centre of Escaldes-Engordany, 150 metres from the renowned spa complex of Caldea and eight kilometres from the Grand Valira ski area. Barcelona Airport is 200 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 150 minutes.

Hotel Features. Guests can unwind on the panoramic sun deck, swim lengths of the heated indoor pool or tone-up in the gym. A selection of drinks and cocktails are available in the bar, and the 24-hour front desk offers a currency exchange service and safe-deposit box for peace of mind. The hotel also features a business centre with conference facilities and secretarial services.

Hotel Fenix serves a selection of traditional Mediterranean dishes with a contemporary twist in the light modern setting of Restaurant Kronos. Alternatively, Bar Sirius offers drinks and light snacks and stays open until 1 AM.

Guestrooms. The 120 air-conditioned guestrooms have light modern decor with neutral fabrics and dark wood furnishings. Amenities include cable television, minibars, direct-dial phones, and clock radios.

Expert Tip. Eight kilometres away is Grand Valira, the biggest ski area in the Pyrenees, featuring 193 kilometres of runs suitable for all levels, including: 18 green, 38 blue, 32 red and 22 black.
