Hotel du Glacier

Description

The Hotel du Glacier is a grand early 19th century building with cream façade and blue shutters, and is centrally located 200 metres from the ski slopes and lift. This four-floor hotel features 40 guestrooms, all of which include cable television, wireless Internet, safes and telephones. Bathrooms come with hair dryers, toiletries and bathrobes.

After a day on the slopes guests can reinvigorate in the sauna and steam room or enjoy cocktails, coffees and aperitifs in the Ice Bar. Outside the pavement terrace is dotted with tables and chairs and great for watching the world go by. The Mondial is a colourful contemporary restaurant offering a buffet selection of international dishes. Alternatively Feeloch offers barbecue dishes and local cheese specialities in rustic surroundings complete with an open fire. The kid's club and babysitting service allows parents freedom and peace of mind. Guests can surf the Internet using wireless access and exchange currency on site. The resort has 18 peaks over 4,000 metres and a glacier, with cable and surface lifts that are fast and efficiently run. There's also an underground funicular up to the glacier with year-round lift access for skiing. The skier's vertical is just under 6,000 feet. For boarders, there's a snow park with winter half-pipe, quarter-pipe, rails, tables, and gaps served with a rope tow. The nearest railway station is Visp 25 kilometres away and the nearest airport is Geneva 230 kilometres away. The following fees are charged by the property at check-in or check-out.
