Hotel delle Palme

Location. Hotel Delle Palme is a contemporary hotel housed in a restored 19th century villa on the west coast of Sicily in the outskirts of the town of Marsala. Trapani Airport (TPS) is 12 kilometres from the hotel and takes approximately to reach by car.

Hotel Features. The lobby, lounge and bar areas have wooden floors and elegant decor and are furnished with potted palms. Drinks from the bar can be taken on the patio area. Staff at the 24-hour front desk can arrange dry cleaning and limousine services and meeting rooms are available. Practical amenities include complimentary garage parking and room service (limited hours).

Hotel Delle Palme's restaurant, Alla Corte del Vino, is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and serves Mediterranean and Sicilian dishes. A children's menu and vegetarian options are available.

Guestrooms. The hotel has 61 air- conditioned guestrooms set across four floors. All rooms feature elegant decor with antique-style furnishings, offer panoramic views and are equipped with satellite television, direct-dial phones, minibars and safes. Bathrooms have shower/tub combinations, bathrobes and hair dryers.

Expert Tip. In 1998, a bronze statue known as 'The Dancing Satyr' was found off the port of Mazara del Vallo by a local fishing boat. It is thought to have been sculpted by Greek artist Praxiteles, and was displayed in Rome and Japan before being returned to the city.
