    The front desk staff made every simple polite inquiry seem like a major imposition on their time. I accidentally left money in the room key folder when I checked out. This folder has the room # on it. I got to the airport before realising the error. I called and spoke to the women who I checked out with and she said they would check for it and I should call back in 15min. They said they found nothing. I know it was a boneheaded move on my part and what else would one expect. Honesty?

Location. Hotel Cozumel & Resort is located two kilometers from downtown Cozumel, Mexico, and an equal distance from Cozumel International Airport. Shops and entertainment await two kilometers away in downtown San Miguel de Cozumel. The ruins of San Gervasio, positioned 11 kilometers from the hotel, afford intriguing glimpses into this region's past.

Hotel Features. A three-story lobby features expansive arches and towering palm trees. This Spanish Colonial-style resort offers on-site dining at Los Arcos where an international menu reflects Mexican and European influences. Los Girasoles provides panoramic views of the Mexican Caribbean and prepares traditional regional fare. A lobby sports bar serves cocktails, beer and snacks. The resort provides function space that accommodates up to 50 guests. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. Leisure amenities include a fitness room and two outdoor pools with a children's pool, a poolside bar and an adjacent spa tub. Recreational amenities include volleyball, kayaking, bicycling, scuba diving and snorkeling. Supervised indoor and outdoor programs are hosted for children ages 4-12.

Guestrooms. This resort offers 178 guestrooms housed in three buildings. Accommodations provide balconies or patios with ocean or pool views. Rooms feature tropical décor with tile flooring, bamboo furniture, and ocean blue and sand-hued color schemes. Accommodations offer cable television. Convenient guestroom features include coffeemakers and in-room safes.

Expert Tip. Chankanaab Park, located seven kilometers from the hotel, offers acclaimed diving and snorkeling sites, plus guided swims with dolphins and sea lions. Mayan sculptures may be viewed beneath the lagoon's waters. The resort concierge supplies tour details.
