good rate but..........................

We did get a good rate through Hotels.com, however, it was the "nickle and dimeing" that was annoying after we got there......expensive breakfast, terribly high parking rate per day, $10/day for wifi, etc. Nice hotel though.

Beautiful Hotel

Great staff. They are very courteous and helpful. I strongly recommend this beautiful hotel plus its great downtown location.

SLOW VALET SEVICE

Our stay here was very nice. It just takes too long to get your car from the valet service.

Needs Upgrade on TV

I realize I did not to San Antonio to watch TV, however, I was there during college football season and the World Series, and the televisions were tiny and not very modern. They need to get flat screen HD. We wanted to watch some games and the quality of the TV's were bad. My grandmother has a better quality TV than we had in our room.

Great Stay!

Traveled to San Antonio on business with my wife. She truly enjoyed the luxury rooms and hotel aminities. Truly spacious room with excellent River Walk location. We have stayed at this location 3 times and we will definitely come back.

We found everything about the Contessa to be first class. Great location on the River Walk, super clean, excellent housekeeping, attentive staff without exception. The separate sitting room and bedrooms (TV in each room) = pure luxury. The restaurant is excellent and competively priced for the area. The only drawback is limited parking in the area; however, the hotel has an excellent valet service that takes care of that.

Very Romantic

My husband and I live in Austin and the Riverwalk was an easy get away. The Contessa was perfect for the two of us. It was away from all the loud restaraunts but they were just around the corner if we wanted to go there. Very beautiful and romantic.
