Trip Type: Romance Review 16 of 196Fantastic
Hard to describe how pleased I was with this hotel. Quality equal or better than any hotel that I've stayed at in Boston. They cheerfully supported an early check-in, the room was great, the bed comfortable. The Eastern Standard restaurant was also outstanding. We'll be back!

Trip Type: Romance Review 20 of 196A wonderful experience...
My husband and I just returned from our first ever stay in Boston and at Hotel Commonwealth and I had to let others know of the incredible time we had due in large part to the wonderful staff at HC. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were immediately impressed by the friendly, but not overbearing staff, who were happy to help us plan our itinerary. The doorman even gave us a suggested walking tour route on our first evening which led us to great shopping and restaurants within minutes of our hotel via a stroll on Newbury Street. The surrounding area was rich in beautiful architecture as well with a wealth of beautiful brownstones on Marlborough Street. Although we were not there to attend a Redsox game, Fenway was located a stone's throw from the hotel as was the Kenmore stop on the city's easily navigable subway system. (You are only a 5-minute ride away from Quincy Market!) We are looking forward to returning to Boston when we have more time to spend to explore this beautiful city! I should also mention that the accomodations at HC are truly first class. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and impeccably decorated. We enjoyed the time spent inside Hotel Commomwealth just as much as the time we spent exploring the city.

Trip Type: Family Review 22 of 196Great place for after the game
The hotel is beautiful, right next to the T stop for Fenway Park. The rooms were quite large, comfortable in every aspect. Anytime we go to a game we will stay here! The front desk people were exceedingly helpful.

Trip Type: Family Review 23 of 196What's Up With The Business Center
As a person who prefers not to travel with my laptop, I usually rely on the hotel business centers. At this hotel, not ONLY do they charge for internet access in the business center...but one of the two stations was out of service and the remaining station was so slow, I thought they had dial-up access. Either don't charge for this service or provide an internet connection that is worth the money.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 24 of 196Expensive, but worth the price!
We've stayed at the Hotel Commonwealth ever since our two sons were attending college in Boston, years ago. We went specifically for a Red Sox game and for shopping. The hotel is only a five minute walk to the ballpark, and a ten minute walk to some great shopping! The hotel is fantastic, the restaurants are great, and the staff is amazing!! We'll never stay anywhere else when we visit Boston!!

Trip Type: Business Review 25 of 196My new favorite Kenmore Square Hotel
As a Red Sox fan and the parent of a student at Boston University, I have made it my business to know Boston hotels, particularly in the Kenmore Square area. Although there are many fine establishments, the Hotel Commonwealth far exceeded my expectations during my first-ever stay. The genuine service-oriented staff was unbelievable flawless. Friendly and helpful in an engaging "Boston-flavored" way, while maintaining appropriate boundaries. The hotel itself is convenient and lovely. My room was larger than some apartments. Hotels in Boston can be expensive, the big chains are well-run and sometimes offer bargains BUT this place is a gem when priced competitively. None better.

39.00 dollars a day for parking was completley rediculus other than that no complaints

Trip Type: Family Review 27 of 196Best location for the out-of-town Fenway Faithful
It's not cheap, but it is a great value as you are literally right around the corner and a few minutes from Fenway. Some of the upper rooms look out onto Fenway, which is quite a sight. It was like daytime out our window from all the lights, but it was great. The hotel itself is very clean, quiet and comfortable. It is on the fancier side, yet during our 3-day stay the majority of guests were in shorts and Red Sox shirts, and everyone felt right at home. Also, before arriving, be ready for a speedy turnover to the valet (remember tip money). You pull up to the door right on the street, and you need to be ready to jump out. Lots to do and places to eat within a couple minutes. T station right under the hotel. Overall, a great first experience staying right by Fenway Park.

Trip Type: Romance Review 30 of 196Pleasant Surprise
This hotel is in a nice area. The T stop entrance is right underneath the hotel and access to the rest of the city is convenient from there. The rooms are nice. Anything street-side naturally has the typical vehicle and motorcycle noise bleeding through the double-pane windows - more noticeable late at night. The size of the rooms are nice - large compared to NYC. The service is very good. The check-in and check-out went smoothly. The free DVD rentals are a nice touch. They deliver the DVDs in a nice paper bag along with a bag of popcorn - nice touch. Free Internet access was a plus.
