Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 103Great value
I love this hotel. I've stayed here twice now. It is charming, comfortable and the location in the heart of Vieux Quebec is fantastic. For the price, it can't be beat. Friendly and helpful staff, too. Very nice, firm bed. Quaint boutique atmosphere. I can't wait to return to Quebec, and this is where I'll stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 103Outstanding Hotel
The hotel is in the perfect location. It is in the center of the nicest part of Quebec City and it is also very safe. Every employee, especially at the front desk and concierge, were very nice and helpful. Everyone at the hotel and all of those whom we spoke with in Quebec City spoke French as their primary language, but also spoke English. The room was not too big, but it was very clean, nicely decorated, and in my wife's words, felt cozy. It was perfect to our taste. Our stay couldn't have been better. We loved everything about Quebec City. We would like to visit Quebec City again and this hotel would definitely be our first choice.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 103Mixed Rooms
We booked 2 rooms at the Clarendon Hotel for 3 nights. 1 roiom was fine, the other had such a strong smell that it made me dizzy. Something had been sprayed, and with this room being so small, it was probably just much stronger in this room. We were eventually given another room. Thank you Tommy for all of your help. Avoid the top floor. This is an old hotel, and while it has been updated, there are limitations with things like the size of the bathroom. If you want a modern hotel, stay outside of Old Quebec and take the free Ecolobus into the old town. If you want to stay in the heart of the Old Town and are not sensitive to strong sprays then this is a decent choice.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 103I used this hotel when attending a conference at the convention center
I got this room for convenience and price. I attended a conference held just across from the Hilton and stayed at the Clarendon for a fraction of the price. The walk through Old Town and down the castle wall was very nice. All of the staff I interacted with were genuinely nice and helpful. I also ate at the restaurant and the food was fine, nothing too special but good enough. If I am in QC, I would stay here again. It's not a place to brag about, but it's great for a good night's sleep.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 103Old but elegant
An old but quietly elegant hotel right in the middle of the old city, within walking distance of everything. The rooms are somewhat small but tastefully decorated, comfortable and well-maintained. The staff is very helpful and unpretentious. An adjacent underground garage with reasonable rates and in/out privileges for those traveling by car.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 103Great Location, Small Room
This hotel is located very close to the fabulous Chatau Hotel on the St. Lawrence River and in the Old Town. Within walking distance you have lots of resteraunts and all kinds of shops. Nice facility overall. But, the rooms are small like in Paris. There is hardly much room to put your luggage bags for 2 people with small bathroom.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 103Great Hotel. Perfect Location
We were totally satisfied with every aspect of this hotel! In spite of its age (we were told it's the oldest hotel in Canada and second oldest in North America), all the creature comforts were there mingled with the exquisitly aged wood trims only older buildings offer, huge windows overlooking the charming streets etc. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food but can say that the dining areas were very attractive. Step out the front door, cross a street and you're on the way to the Old City's charming shops, artists' displays, talented street performers, fantastic restaurants and more. The location is perfect!

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 103Location, Location, Location.
If location matters as much as they say it does, this place definately has it all. I would and will stay here again. The staff was attentive and personable, we had a great jazz duo on Friday night and they came back Sat. eve with a third musician playing sax to make it a trio. If a small room is not too much of a prob. for you, you will be hard pressed to beat this place.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 103Great Hotel
It is a great hotel. The room was very good. We had a very good view from the room. The hotel is centrally loated. The information center, Frontec hotel, restaurants and shops were in walking distanc.(in a block or two) The parking garage is right there and very reasonable. $15.00/day. The hotel has the restaurant and we had breakfast there which was very good. I recommand this hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 103Great location!
The room was a little small, but the staff was extremely courteous (and spoke very good English) and you can't beat the location for the money. You're across a roundabout from the Frontenac, which costs a small fortune!
