    This Hotel was beautiful, absolutely loved the design and it was a covient 3 blocks from burbon st. The only things I would complain about was the woman at the front desk didn't seem to know too much about anything. She couldn't answer questions we had for her, and when we called and asked for directions she was horrible! Also the water in the shower never got hot. Our room was right next to a busy parking garage that was loud in the morning. Otherwise I was very impressed by the design of the hotel and would recomend it to people wanting to enjoy their stay in downtown new orleans

    I spent 1 night at The Hotel Chateau Dupre for a concert at the House of Blues just recently. I chose this Hotel because I had stayed there before and I was very pleased. But this go round was very disappointing. The bathroom smelled of urine. There were strands of hair on the comforters on the bed. One of the bed frames were broken. I was not satisfied at all with my stay which is the reason I only stayed one night.

Location. With an address on shop-lined Decatur Street, the Hotel Chateau Dupre in New Orleans, La., stands three blocks from Bourbon Street and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. The shops of the Riverwalk are six blocks from the hotel. The House of Blues is one block away.

Hotel Features. Built in 1845, this historic building was once the home of statesmen, magnates and matriarchs of New Orleans society. The four-story building has operated as a hotel since the early 1990s.

Guestrooms. To reveal the 1850s-era building's historic charm, the Hotel Chateau Dupre's guestrooms are decorated with antique-style furniture, two- or four-poster beds, full-length mirrors and painted, exposed brick walls. Rooms are equipped with cable television and wireless Internet access for a fee. Coffeemakers are provided in all guestrooms. In-room safes are available for a fee. All bathrooms feature curved shower rods, and select bathrooms contain granite vanities.
