Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 81I have and will recommend
The hotel is lovely and has character. The concierge staff was one of the most helpful and friendliest I've experienced. The cafe inside the hotel was also very good, both breakfast and dinner. My room was kept well and clean every day and the furnishings were tastefully done and cosy.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 81Fantastic Location
The Hotel Burnham was a very relaxing place to stay in Chicago in a great location near several "el" stops and Millenium Park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Downsides: 1) really old television, definitely time for this hotel to upgrade to flat screens 2) tiny exercise room (only 2 treadmills, one bike, one precor machine and one weight bench) which meant that during peak times in the morning guests had to wait to use the machines. 3) Hotel restaurant was closed on Labor Day which meant having to travel elsewhere for a nice brunch on that day.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 81You want the Loop?
The Hotel Burnham is located across the street from Macy's (the former Marshall Field's flagship store) and is on the subway line. It's also one block from the elevated tracks. In short, if you want to stay in downtown Chicago (the Loop), this is the place for you. Shoppers: If the downtown stores aren't enough, the Burnham is a short (15 minute) walk to the Michigan Ave "magnificent mile" or take a cab for a few bucks or the subway! The hotel is a beautiful, restored property with some great history. The rooms are nice sized, service good--it's everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 81Great Place for a Weekend Stay
I chose the Burnham because I needed someplace convenient to the Orange Line from Midway that was upscale and fairly priced. My sister had stayed here a few years ago and liked it, so I decided to try. The hotel staff was welcoming, the room was small but very comfortable, the hotel itself is beautiful, and my excellent dinner at the hotel bar didn't break the bank. Definitely on the list for next time..

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 81Great hotel in a great location!!!
This hotel was located in the perfect spot for us. We were only minutes away from the Chicago River, the Red Line train stop and both the Chicago & Ford Theatres. Anywhere you would want to go, with in reason is within walking a mile distances (i.e. Michigan Ave. & Rush St.). If you want to go to a Cubs game, then you just need to jump on the Red Line and head towards Addison St. The hotel room was small, but very comfortable. This hotel probably had the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel. A unique quality to this hotel, is that they still hand out actual room keys, and not just plastic cards. We thought that was a nice touch.

this Loop area hotel is two blocks from the train to and from Midway. The Atwood Cafe in the hotel is outstanding. We have now stayed at this hotel three times, and will continue to stay there.

As as single woman traveling alone, I'm particular aware of comfort and safety in a hotel. I felt at home at the Hotel Burnham. I would definitely stay there again. I had one housekeeping request and it was fulfilled immediately.

The facilites are well cared for, all requests were met with a smile. Free wine in the lobby at happy hour. The hotel is a nice mix of history with contemporary furnishings. Restaurant at lobby has great food, of course at higher price. I go to this hotel every year when I attend a conference. It is always offers a very comfortable and warm welcome
