    This hotel is a gem. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to this time. We booked this hotel based on others' ratings and even with the positive reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. The desk personel were outstanding: very friendly and helpful. We had a triple and it was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. Our teenage daughter felt welcome at the hotel and loved the free DVD's that she could view. The location is perfect, nicely just off the main street. This hotel is the best value we experienced in Switzerland, not fancy, but certainly nice enough for us.

    ZERMATT !!! this cozy hotel meets all the comforts that a tourist could ask, the rooms are nice clean and comfortable, as in switzerland the elevator is not the size that we get in the USA, breakfast was decent. The spa was nice. Ovcerall a very nice experience

The Hotel Bellerive is a traditional mountain ski chalet located at an altitude of 1620 and situated in the centre of Zermatt, 300 metres from ski slopes and lifts. The 24 modern guestrooms have light-wood furnishings and carpeted floors. Room amenities include cable television, CD players, DVD players, safes, wireless Internet, minibars, and telephones. Bathrooms are complete with hair dryers and bathrobes.

After a day on the slopes guests can wind down in the sauna, steam room and hot tub or relax with drinks in the bar's luxurious leather armchairs. The Restaurant Avena serves an international menu in a typical mountain-style setting. Practical amenities include a front desk, multilingual staff and elevator.

The Matterhorn Mountain reaches up to 3820 metres altitude and has over 250 kilometres of pistes as well as 73 mountain railways and ski lifts. 22 percent of the slopes are designated for beginners, 50 percent for intermediates, and 28 percent for experts. There is also excellent off-piste skiing as well as a half-pipe for snowboarders. The hotel is located 50 metres from the ski bus stop and 300 metres from Zermatt's ski slopes, lifts and resort centre. The nearest airport is Geneva International 232 kilometres away.
