Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 24Fantastic if you're not surprised
The first thing you need to know going in is that the rooms are small, even by NYC standards. If you're not from NYC or not used to staying there, you'd call them tiny. The fire exit map on the door did show that some of the rooms were a little larger than ours, but all are small. If you're using your room as a place to sleep and rest between meals or sightseeing, it's perfect. With that out of the way, the hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly - even giving us quick subway directions when we were in a rush. The room was immaculate. Even with such a tight space, everything was there - super comfortable queen-size bed, wall-mounted flat-screen, desk, closet with iron and desktop ironing board. Did you have to shimmy beside the bed to get to the pocket door into the bathroom? Yes, but it was modern and very clean with all glass tile, a rain shower-head and glass shower doors to give the feeling of more space. As for location, it couldn't be more convenient. The Canal Street stop is right there on the corner. You can feel the subway slightly when it runs under the hotel, but it doesn't rattle anything and didn't wake me (a very light sleeper) up. It's a quick comfortable walk to Soho, Little Italy or Chinatown, and is convenient to City Hall and the Brooklyn Bridge. My fiance and I got a great deal, had a fantastic stay, and would definitely stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 24Didn't have the room I booked
Booked a room with a queen bed. When I arrived at 10PM they said they had queen beds, and that the only room they had available was with two twin beds. At that point I had to take it, but was extremely uncomfortable.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 24Not Worth It
Hallways had a bad odor. Rooms are VERY small even for New York. The location is not really the best. This is the middle of China Town with vendors everywhere outside your door selling knock off this and that. Look, we stay in NYC all the time. I have paid a lot less in key locations for much better rooms.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 24Stay like a True New Yorker
The rooms are small, so you will truly feel like you are living in a New York apartment. You can jump on your bed and into the bathroom from the door. But we were on the 5th floor and surprisingly we could not hear the craziness of Chinatown below us. The location is great for getting anywhere in the city. If you are not planning on spending much time in your room, it is a good cheap option.

Love the location, love the rates. the rooms are small but when you're traveling for business everything you need is there. fantastic linens and shower. you do have to get a little creative about the space but it was very easily accomplished....and i don't travel light. great restaurants and shopping in the area and right by the subway. this will definitely become my new fave hotel in NY.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 24No more than one person
The linens and fixtures are fine, but the room is very small with no closet. Its right on the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy, so if you don't intend to spend much time in your room it's fine. Two people is a stretch ...

The hotel azure is a great location to see SoHo, Chinatown and Little Italy. It is right on the subway with easy access to every where else in the city. As a single woman traveling on her own, I felt completely safe in the surrounding neighborhoods.
