Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 36Great Hotel w/ minor observations
Didn't expect how comfortable the place was, decor was "cool" if you appreciate modern art (no plastic flowers or wallpaper and smelly carpets, thank God!) We got a king size bed and it was very comfortable. I just wish the pillows were bigger! Otherwise they were soft and plush - the kind that you can sink your head in. We also had our 3 month old baby, we requested a crib, and it was nice and sturdy, didn't like the beddings though (just a bunch of flannel blankets and such to put on top of each other for cushion on the crib - you are better off bringing your own crib sheet if you are travelling with a baby). Bathroom is not roomy, the door touches your legs when you go in and out, and the toilet seat for the women is just a bit too small to sit in, must be the same size as the main seat. Service was excellent, and staff were very COURTEOUS! Overall the hotel is great for the price you are paying!

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 36Good Value and central location
The Avatar was recently remodeled and is very functional and central for what i need. My corporate HQ is a couple of blocks away so it saves time for me to stay here. Also, much less expensive that staying at the Hyatt or Marriot. A few small items that they need to still work out, but a good value for the money!

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 36Fantastic Service and Great Value!
This hotel provides free shuttle service to the airport, as well as anywhere else that you would like to go within 5 miles of the hotel. I used this service often to go back and forth to the convention center, etc., and they were always absolutely fantastic about being immediately available. Unfortunately I cut my trip to the airport too close on my way out of town and the shuttle was being used by another guest. However, Rade (hotel staff member) quickly went to get his personal car and raced me to the airport to make certain I didn't miss my flight. Exceptional. The rooms were also very clean, and the bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to go back home to my own bed. A very no frills hotel, but tremendous value for the money.

Located in the hart of Silicone Valley, great rooms (great beds!!), and much cheaper than the usual Marriott's and Hyatt's.

The hotel is clean and well kept. The room was comfortable. The location is great just of the freeway and between to restaurants. Parking is abundant. A good value for the money.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 36It will rip you off
I stayed there for only one night. They put $250 additional charge on my credit card after I left without notifying me or my authorization for damaging their TV and stealing!!??? It is ridiculous, because I didn't do that! They think they can get away with that because I m a quiet Asian or something!!!??? Don't stay at this hotel, people, or the same thing might happen to you.

The retro decor is a breath of fresh from the "country style" decor of typical motels. Right down the street from Great America. An excellent choice for the business or pleasure traveler.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 36Loved it!!
I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff was great! The room was so cute! Even had a sony docking station that i could hook my ipod up to. The staff let me put my freezer packs in their employee freezer so they would be frozen for my lunch the next day. Saturday nights Great America does fireworks and it was nice that i could go sit out by the pool and watch them with a pretty much perfect view... When I arrived back from work my room was clean & towls were replaced. I absolutely will be coming back next time i'm in town!

This is actually a Bestwestern property. It's got very nice furnishings inside, great soaps and shampoo. The work out facility was awesome. They even had free weights. There's plenty of restaurants nearby and the location is right by the 101. This was a perfect hotel for the money and they even let me have late checkout until 2pm at no extra cost!
