Trip Type: Business Review 17 of 36Good business hotel in the off-season
The decor is futuristic, the free airport shuttle saved me $15 and the IHOP and Bennigans next door were helpful. Ideal business hotel between Sept-April, after the Great America tourist season. Will gladly stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 18 of 36Much Better Than Expected
The price was great and the hotel was great. Avatar took a boring hotel plan and room and made it something special. Modern look, clean comfortable rooms and a great price. This is my place to stay on business when I go to San Jose.

Trip Type: Family Review 19 of 36Great Value
The room was a bit small, but we fit a porta crib in it with 2 double beds!! The green chair in the corner was very comfortable and I loved the decor. The only thing I would have liked to see was blackout curtains as there was a light right outside our room and the blinds never keep all of the light out. I would return though as it was a great value for the price.

Trip Type: Family Review 22 of 36wow!
Our stay was fantastic! I was not expecting the quality we experienced for the price we paid but was pleasantly surprised. The new renovations even impressed my teenage boys and the rooms and amenities were great. The new fitness room is incredible, with a wide variety of options for working out. Even better, the fitness room overlooks the pool, so supervising the kids while working out is easy. The service was A+, and the manager on duty during our stay was both courteous and extremely helpful! Looking for reasons to go back!

Trip Type: Family Review 23 of 36Good Room Near Great America for the Price
Th Room was in a great location and was recently remodled and the heated pool was fantistic! IHOP in the hotel was also a plus. The front desk staff is polite and helpful and My son loved the robots in the lobby. My only complaint is that the room was a little small and with 2 people at times it was hard to move around so I wouldn't recomend for an extended stay. My husband also stepped on a screw in our room and cut his foot right after we checked in. I was a little disappointed was not caught when the room was cleaned. Would stay again during as probably the nicest hotel for the price in the area.

Trip Type: Business Review 24 of 36It's actually "Best Western" Avatar Hotel.
I liked somewhat modern "gamer" theme. They have both wired and wireless high-speed internet. And it's right next to IHOP!

Trip Type: Family Review 29 of 36Awesome rooms, not so great service...
This hotel had an awesome lobby, very modern rooms, very stylish. Small, but made a great use of the space available. In close proximity to great america. The front desk however seemed very disorganized, and a little rude. It may have been an isolated incident, and certainly not a deal breaker, but noticeable. The woman who checked me in claimed to not know how to activate the room keys, so she demanded her associate (who she called "mister" for some reason) to come help her "now!", but he exclaimed he needed to use the restroom first. Anyway, "mister" ended up helping in the end, but seemed a bit surly (probably because he had to pee).
