Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 201Great hotel for price and location
Hotel Angeleno is situated right off of the 405 highway and Sunset Blvd. It's a landmark round and tall building off of the highway. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the service was terrific. The top floor's restaurant had an amazing view of the highway and outlying city and even more amazing food. The only down side is since it is right off the highway, it, not surprisingly, has all the highway traffic noise. Although the noise seemed to lull me to sleep rather than disturb it, for I slept soundly.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 201Diminishing quality at Hotel Angeleno
We've stayed at Hotel Angeleno over 6 times in the last year because of its proximity to UCLA. Each time, the quality seems to go down. The stay before last, there was a strong mildew smell in the room, but not the bathroom. This time, the shower drain was backed up. The bar on the top floor had abysmal service and terrible drinks for a premium price. On the plus side, the front desk staff is always friendly and helpful, and waived the offensive $28 parking fee each time. The pillow-top beds are very comfortable.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 201Not what I expected for the money
I expected more based upon the overnight rate. No hot water in the shower, non working phone near the bed and an in room coffee maker that overflowed all over the floor. In addition to the room problems, the restaurant and bar were overpriced as was the parking fee. The hotel sits next to an interstate highway, so expect noise.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 201Comfortable Stay
My room was nice, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. Room service was prompt. Free wireless internet is a nice feature. The only drawbacks were the required valet parking ($20 per day) and the 405 freeway was a little noisy.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 201Mediocre to the core
Do not be fooled. This hotel is no more than a Holiday Inn in Sheep's Clothing. From a distnace it loks improved, but up close, there is absolutley nothing special about this place. Everything about it (other than the restaurant) was 100% mediocre. Nothing was "impressive" and there were a few disappointing moments. 405 location is convenient, but very noisy.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 201Great Value
Location is convenient but can be a bit noisy as it is practically on the 405. If you need quiet this is NOT the hotel for you. Staff is friendly and check in / check out was quick and efficient. The room / bathroom was clean. The restaurant / bar appears popular - busy each night. Room service was very good and timely with a less than 30 minute wait at 7PM. Parking is $20 plus tip daily but the service is fast and even with the room price the daily rate really is the best in the area. Parents of UCLA students - this hotel is on the residence hall side of campus - short drive on West Sunset to Bellagio Dr and you have quick access to "the hill". We will stay here again.
